Bingo suggestion thread (it's advanced, trust me)

First of all, I would like to say that I do consider this an advanced topic because what I am looking for here are technical suggestions, not the type you find in Scratch's suggestion forum.

Bingo 1.3.0 has been released today at 20:15 GMT.
http://bingoprogramming.weebly.com/download.html

Please post suggestions for the next version (including technical aspects)!

On another side note, i would like to know how to file in a file from the web using code only (for my updater). any help is appreciated!

Lets not be mean now. LS97 has spent ages (belive me) on this and just doesn't want people to steel his blocks and features. Come on now how many mods do you know with the multi line stack block? None.  smile

Panther maybe, but 1.1 has not been released yet.

Yes, well done!  big_smile

I will release the source code as soon as I have some spare time to work on commenting Bingo's features and making it a bit more presentable; it doesnt look that good now and i doubt half of the Scratchers could understand my code (messed up by the 'pretty print' in squeak). Believe me, if you do tell the password, you are not doing the good of the community since i have not included skin nor changes file in the released version!

Trust me, I worked hard enough on this to deserve a bit of rest. I will be updating the news on source code regularly for those of you who are interested.

Lastly, to prove I am not against releasing the source, if any of you are impatient to look at the code you may just as well contact me through some form and i'll email you the password. Happy now, bbbeb?

Re: Bingo suggestion thread (it's advanced, trust me)

Much harder to hack than usual. I exploited a glitch. The password isn't as strange as before. Anyway, apart from a few glitches, it's AMAZING!

And also, I am happy.  big_smile

Now i understand why you dont release it immediately.

(Same exact reason happened with Panther  tongue )

Re: Bingo suggestion thread (it's advanced, trust me)

If you want to make it harder to hack, I would recommend changing the debugger opening code, rather than Object's error: method.

What's the point in that -- Giving away the password. If you're so clever and are always 'busy', you'd think that you would have better things to do than to try and work out Bingo's password, uselessly too as the source will be released in a few days! Besides, LS97 has clearly said that he will be giving out the password to anyone interested and impatient. Beilieve me -- it was utterly stupid of you to do that, not thinking about the community but just personal showing off. Some people would call you sad. Me and many others.
I know it's hard for you, but try at least to... get a life!

Y'know, actually I didn't bother working it out. If you really want to, blame bbbeb, who told me it. I just felt that in the spirit of open-source-ness there shouldn't be any "secret password" stuff.

I wasn't trying to show off.  smile

But he shouldn't have still released it!

I'm sorry, LS97...  sad
And, the way I got in is with the 56000% pixel glitch. Just so you know, for next time.

(I recommend you take down Bingo 1.3 and replace the code and make it Bingo 1.3.01  big_smile
