On the most recent Mythbusters, they ran a series of tests that show your brain activity at any given time.
Tori used over 10% while he was just laying down.
However, every 1/10 of a second you only use 10 percent of your brain.

I just closed a door.
With telekinesis.
But don't think you can just go around doing that; I've been working on this for five whole years. When I was 9 I asked for a thing I could move with my mind. When I learned there wasn't such a thing, I was heartbroken. After sulking for a half hour or so I decided I would do it myself. It was then I grabbed a rock and stared at it all day. Nothing happened, not a budge. That night I had a dream I could move anything I wanted to by looking at it.
When I woke up the next day my brain felt... different. Like something inside it had changed. My parents had thought I had injured my head somewhere along the way, but I told them I was actually going to move something with my mind, and they laughed and said that I was just imagining it. I told my brother, and at the time he was 10. He said i was crazy and that I would never be able to do that. He said mind-powers only existed in comic books.
So I vowed I would spend all my free time trying to move stuff mentally. I would regularly sit down at a table and imagine something moving. Every day I failed until one day at dinner my dad was using a toothpick at a restaurant. I stared at it so intently my mom started to worry if I was okay. Finally I closed my eyes and imagined the toothpick rolling clear off the table. When I opened my eyes again the toothpick was gone and my brother was staring at me like I had a second head. When we got home my brother started poking me and asking questions. I was kind of in a daze, but I replied "I don't know."
So the next day everyone had pretty much forgotten about last night save my brother and I. We both went up to my room where he gave me another toothpick and told me to move it. I closed my eyes again and envisioned the toothpick rolling off my bed and onto the floor. This time I half-opened my eyes and continued looking at it. I wanted to see what happened this time. I saw it roll slowly at first, then pick up speed and then roll completely off the bed. I jumped in triumph and hit my head on the ceiling.
After 2 years I could finally move something the size of that rock I tried in the first place. I constantly showed my friends how I could send the pencil on my desk to the floor or even off a ramp. They loved it and always tried to find out how I did it.
It's been 5 years and I just closed the front door to my house. I can also open and shut an unlocked window. I can put out a campfire and make a very small psi ball.
So have any of you tried to use telekinesis/telepathy?
Cool! I can make pebbles explode into tiny pieces when I'm calm, but only small ones, and only into about 2-6 pieces. Also, I can only do it when I'm caln, and it just breaks... not really an explosion.

i meant brain noise, like my own thoughts, not like noise from other people.

Try breathing deeply, concentrate on that, then use the air you're breathing to mentally push your thoughts into a corner of your mind.
I do hope I know what I'm talking about. But so far I seem to have been correct.

I imagine them flowing out of my brain, but yes, I guess either way works

That's very interesting! I'm going to see if I can make a rock explode.
It makes perfect scientific sense, if anyone cares to listen to it

Interesting. I suppose I'm using 15-20%?

I might not be focusing enough, but it doesn't seem to be working for me on an empty, really light carton of milk duds. D:

Since you're so heavily focusing your thought, you might be stressing the amount your using. I would guess around 25-30 percent with most action taking place in one lobe.

I think your lying about telekinesis.
I put a ball on a table and closed my eyes and then when I opened them it was on the floor.
I have doors in my house which close on their own. Mainly due to wind.

i tried the dowsing business last night, but is there any way to block your mind's noise from the stuff you're trying to hear?
The trick is to go into a state of mind where you accept that you hear noise but you pay no heed to it, I believe. That state of mind I also believe is the same state you must be in to perform any telekinetic activity.
Of course, what do I know about this?
It's easy. Just pretend the noise in your background is your mom telling you to clean your room, and the thing you're concentrating on is Minecraft. It's ridiculously simple after that.
My coin fell over 3 times today, and it was in a windless room!

Okay, I'll try keep an open mind. You guys understand why I thought this was all just a lie though, right? A kid using telepathy isn't exactly something I'm going to openly believe.
Could you post a video or something? Seeing is believing, after all ;D

She said earlier that she doesn't have a YouTube account or anything, and her parents wouldn't allow her.
Just leave her in peace, you've made your point.

I breathed through my nose... and I really want to believe I did it. Quote from a friend.

Even if she did, videos aren't proof.
But I do believe it's possible, and she can do it, since I learned to make psiballs.

I see. That's pretty interesting. I suppose there is no activity that activates 100% yet, though?

It is very 'cool,' if you want to put it that way.
I think meditation clears your mind and helps you concentrate, too. I constantly find myself meditating during homework while my brother plays COD.
