This wouldn't actually be the program, it would be a way to easily access the scratch website from your ipod touch, iphone, or ipad. You would be able to do stuff like add a picture from your device as your profile picture. Or comment, click love it, add friends, and favorite. Just a suggestion. I would buy that app.

Thanks for sharing, I can see how that could be cool.
Apple's handhelds don't support flash or java so you wouldn't be able to view or edit projects. (Unless perhaps Scratch was built with html5.)
I'm not sure I would want users to love-it/favorite projects if they have not viewed them.

There is a group making an HTML5 scratch viewer, and I actually think that a scratch app would be much faster than the current Squeak version. Objective-C is very fast.

Yes an Objective-C scratch app would be faster than an HTML5 or Squeak based Scratch. IF Apple would allow a Scratch app, HTML5 is the only option at this point.

Scratch on iPad would be epic. It has a large screen that can house a large layout.

Yes. Your point? Is there something wrong with Dreamweaver?

Forgot to check the date again. Apex650 and 51037, please check the date before posting. The user probably doesn't want the discussion anymore. And please don't just post to show off that you know what dreamweaver is.
JSJrocks, sorry, but this is an old suggestion. If you still want it you could suggest it again, but currently it's a dead suggestion.

No I still want to discuss it, and it hasn't been closed yet.

oh.
Well, I don't see what's wrong with using the regular site, or at least suggesting a mobile site because trust me, C is hard. And then theyd have to go through all that developer account stuff... And I don't think scratch would even sell a web app, because scratch is open source (and the website obviously is too)...

You can go on the site with a mobile device, but I was talking about project viewing.

Projects can't be viewed at all (because there was already another app that did this) and the reason for that is cause it "runs external code" and it has "unapproved databases", and that means that since anyone can upload a scratch project, they can't trust all of them.
This was already implemented, and then removed. So don't expect it to come back.

Yes. If we wanted Scratch to comply with the AppStore rules, we would need more people reviewing projects. Right now, there are what, about 15 people checking thousands of projects per day.
We could argue that Apple is only hurting itself in the long run, by preventing the next generation of programmers from learning... After all, it would be an educational app.
