To the Sky & Legend of The Guardians

There's an awesome song by Owl City, called "To the Sky".
It has been used in a movie called "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hool", which I really suggest because the plot is pretty good, and the animation is AMAZING!
Anyway, here is the song and a sort of... trailer to the story, and here are the lyrics to "To the Sky":

Shipwreck in a sea of faces
There's a dreamy world up there
Dear friends in higher places
Carry me away from here

Travel light, let the sun eclipse you
'Cause your flight is about to leave
And there's more to this brave adventure
Than you'd ever believe

Birds-eye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you
Wide eyes will always brighten the blue
Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery
'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high
So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind
And take to the sky (you take to the sky)

On the heels of war and wonder
There's a stormy world up there
You can't whisper above the thunder
But you can fly anywhere

Purple burst of paper birds
This picture paints a thousand words
So take a breath of myth and mystery
And don't look back

Birds-eye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you
Wide eyes will always brighten the blue
Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery
'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high
So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind
And take to the sky (you take to the sky)

There's a realm above the trees
Where the lost are finally found
latestvideolyrics.blogspot.com
Touch your feathers to the breeze
And leave the ground

Birds-eye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you
Wide eyes will always brighten the blue
Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery
'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high
So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind
And take to the sky (you take to the sky) (2x)

ONE LAST THING: If you like, rate this song 1-10. I rate it 9/10!

Re: To the Sky & Legend of The Guardians

It was any other book with talking animals.

"Our life is so hard! D:"

"Really? ANCIENT LEGENDS!!??!!"

*insert coming of age*

*insert rest of book I didn't read after I pondered the fact one character used "wet poopers" as a household term, and half the beginning consisted of the consumption of regurgitated worms.*

Re: To the Sky & Legend of The Guardians

I read them a few years ago, and they were pretty good. I saw the movie yesterday, and it was a disgrace to the books. Everything happened too fast, the plot was twisted, etc. I can see why book movies are usually hated on, though- the story writers probably feel too closed in, and want more freedom, so they twist parts of the book to make it "cooler", when the only thing the people who actually read the books want are the original details.

Re: To the Sky & Legend of The Guardians

I never read the books. And I never will.

I'll just stick to The Hunger Games.

I think they leave stuff out because if the writers didn't, you would have a 4 hour movie on your hands. Then sometimes the plot might not make sense so they would have to change it around to fix that.

But how much different is it?

They merged the two "bad guys" (more of "bad corporation"), made the wife of one of the villains no longer the wife, but the mentor of the villain, etc.

Read the books then watch the movie, and you'll see a ton of differences.
