Finally: How to make text symbols

This is a cool tutorial! It will tell you how to type in things that  you didn't know you could type WITH YOUR KEYBOARD!!!
1. Choose where to type the text and click there.
2. Turn num lock on.
3. hold down alt (keep it down for a moment)
4. type in the symbol code (with alt down)
5. release all keys.
Ta-da! Your new symbol is up. I'm gonna type in a random symbol code: Š And I got this symbol.

If this tutorial doesn't work, your either not using windows, or you are on a laptop.
For another tutorial, tell me what type (E.g. windows) of computer you have and if you are on a laptop.

I remember doing this a few years ago. Too bad I'm on my laptop. They can be pretty useful actually.

It's based on Ascii codes.

Back in my day.... there were no laws that censored the internet... now, there are.... nah.

For laptops, just press Fn instead of alt.
And instead of using the keypad on laptops, use the keys that have text in blue on them

Tutorial: For macs.

Hold the option key while pressing any letter or number.
Variation: Hold option and shift while pressing any letter or number.

You can get the same kind of things in Mac if you hold alt (optional:shift) and any other key.
Here is 0-9 in Mac OS 10.6.4 (it works for letters, too):

1= ¡
1shift= ⁄
2= ™
2shift= €
3= £
3sh= ‹
4= ¢
4sh= ›
5= ∞
5s= fi
6= §
6= fl
7= ¶
7sh= ‡
