Why would you want to do that? A lot of people like creating demos as somewhat of a teaser for their upcoming projects, to get people pumped up and excited for it. I, in fact, have done that in the past.
Unless you mean a button that does that... Even so, you may not want to delete all of them. I'm a little confused

Well, the thing is that Scratchers may want to release demos of their projects, allowing users to get a feel for the project before the completed version is released (which is why there are so many betas out there on the website). Additionally, some Scratchers don't really want to remove "demos" from their site even if the completed version has been released for personal reasons. It's probably not practical for projects be automatically considered for deletion if they have words like "demo" or "beta" in their title.

because nobody EVER EVER EVER finishes demo projects
or if on the off chance they do finish them, it has a fraction of the features they advertised in the "demo"
then they release ANOTHER demo saying how many "version 2" is going to have.
all demos are is MORE SPAM!
and that means less projects in which effort was put into them get attention.

please read my above post.
its actually a reasonable argument if you look at it from my perspective.

No.
If demos are what they want to upload, let them upload them.

Well, sometimes objectives of the projects change: the creator may no longer be interested in completing the demo, or maybe the creator changes the original gameplay from the demo for certain reasons (I've done so many times myself).
Likewise, there could be others who will still want to play the demo, or even remix the demo.

In addition to what Cheddargirl said, sometimes demos can actually be of a really good quality, and could be a "demo"nstration of what the user is capable of.

ah. cant back away from an argument, can you.
you see, this thread isnt supposed to be taken literally. i admit, with shame, ive made demos myself (and then either replaced them with a full version, deleted them when i realised i wasnt going to finish, or, in a couple rare cases, left them the way they were, seeing as they could actually be considered a full game, and werent just "trailers.") but im getting sick and tired of people hyping up others with demos (or even worse, TRAILERS!!) of a game with a ridiculous amount of content that would be possible for an experienced flash designer with alot of time on their hands, but not an inexperienced scratcher.
also, think of your own page. nobody wants to sort through pages and pages of "demos" to find the full version.
delete projects when done with them (or replace them with the updated version. it seems almost nobody knows how to do that)
*sigh* cant believe im getting trolled by a couple of mods

That would be a lot to organize. And, it's people's choice wether to delete their project or not.
And you're not being trolled. The Scratch community has been known to stick to good arguments. I know I do!

You might want to look up the definition of "troll" before you go calling out two of the most respected people on Scratch. Just saying. Because they're not trolling.
On the topic: It's not fair to delete projects on those premises, especially not automatically. People have the right to post what they want as long as it's not inappropriate for the Scratch community. And many people do follow up on trailers and demos, so I think you're being a bit unreasonable here.

Even if people don't follow up on trailers or demos, they still have the right to post whatever they want (Scratch is meant to be a very open place). And just because some people don't follow up on trailers or demos, do you think everyone should have to suffer?

They're most recent post makes more sense. And yeah, half of knowing sarcasm is seeing someone's face, which, as far as I can tell, is hard online.

Well, the suggestions forum are for serious suggestions for the Scratch program and the Scratch website, so I viewed the thread in a literal manner. Next time, when making a suggestion, try to make it less figurative.

Yes, I can understand how overhyped demos and trailers usually end up being disappointing. But when it comes to those things, I think it's best to try and avoid projects and search for projects that are more appealing and enjoyable.
also, think of your own page. nobody wants to sort through pages and pages of "demos" to find the full version.

Technically, wouldn't the finished project be the first ones on the list since it is recently uploaded, and thus easier to find?
Although, I can see what you mean here. I would like a way to apply a search function for a user's projects, much like they have a way to search through titles for a person's movies on YouTube.
*sigh* cant believe im getting trolled by a couple of mods
No, you're not being trolled. Actual trolls act on the intent of committing some serious damage.
*looks around* But I really don't like the tone that's going on here. Everyone, let's tone the anger down a bit.

lets see basically what im trying to say is that people in general shouldn't flood the site with 5 minute projects, (hint hint- sarcasm. i really mean little effort put in, or in some cases, decent effort put in but low quality results, dont get into a morals argument with me here (i.e. dont quote what i just said here and make a point against it (this parentheses in getting more and more pointless))) and only submit their best, (usually) finished work.
i sardonically (im not sure what that means but it sounds good here) titled the thread "Automatically delete projects with the word "Demo" in the title" as a way to grab the attention of those with a similar feelings as i do, and it was not meant as a way of asking the mods to quite literally delete all projects bearing the said word in question, but rather express my frustration with what i consider spam, and others consider to be work of a god (that was sarcastic to, fyi, but you get my general opinion (i hope))
