10-10-10 What Does it Mean ???

So this Sunday will be October 10, 2010 also known as 10-10-10.  What do you think is the meaning of this one-of-a-kind alignment of the arbitrarily assigned calendar numerals?

I noticed that if you put it in binary

    101010

that the Decimal equivalent is 42 (verify here)!  Which, if you are a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan, you know is the answer to everything.  Coincidence?

Anybody have any good 10-10-10 projects?

But the Ultimate Question WAS "The answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything." However the new Eoin Colfer book says it's different for everyone. It's kinda hard to figure what it is.
