Re: dem old days.

I miss the lack of the Art vs Games "war", spam topics and Warriors flooding the front page.

And my lack of Scratchers' Block too. D:

I miss the projects with really high quality programming on the front page. No offense to anyone of course, but some of the old scratchers were really special.

*insert big rant about how '07 was better here*

Of course, before '10 or '09, no one knew who I was.
Now look where I am!  Barely some people know me now!  big_smile

Re: dem old days.

Well I was sort of a n00b in '07, didn't discover the forums 'till '10, and took a REEEEEEAAAAAAAAALLLY long break between '07 and '10, so I can't say much in the "what do you miss" section, but I like bragging that I'm an '07er. XD

Re: dem old days.

WhaT I like about '09 is that the better programmers were respectful users.

Now all the really good programmers have been banned once or more. (No offense to ANYONE)

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Counterexamples: Keileymeister, AtomicBawm3, and the list goes on and on, all extremely good programmers.

Well, when I said "really good" I mean often front paged (and really good).

AtomicBawm's been on maybe 3 times.

Kileymeister, about 2.

RHY too many to count, but banned.

Front paged and "really good" are two very different concepts, in my opinion. There are many extremely good programmers that get very little attention, unfortunately.  sad  However, I might agree that many of those who achieve front page status have been banned at some point in time.

How good is "really good", and how often is "often"?  tongue
