I read the books, but I couldn't get through the first movie, so I gave up on them.

Deathly Hallows part 1 is only 47 days away! I'm so excited. The first movie was great to say the least, Aidan, but the tone changes dramatically from the third movie forward. I recommend you skip 1 and 2 if you find them boring, and then watch 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
I actually actively participate on a Harry Potter discussion forum, where we often discuss the Deathly Hallows movies. I look forward to seeing it.

I really hope it's not rubbish. The movies now are too dark, dramatic, changed, and so on - but I want to see them anyway. ;D
