I think that a lot of people will. I haven't bothered buying any of the DSi's because I was waiting for a new portable with substantial upgrades/new features, like this one. I know it's the same with quite a few other people as well.yeah. dude, it's a WHOLE NEW console. its not just a little upgrade like previous DSs.
Well, I don't think they will. I know a lot of people who have got the ds lite and DSi, I don't see very many people ditching theirs for a few upgrades. They JUST brought out the DSXL a few months after the DSi release. I think people without the previous DS' will probally get one.
The 3DS is more than a few upgrades though. Going from the DS to 3DS will be sort of like going from the Xbox to Xbox 360.
Examples of upgrades:
- 3D (Duh...)
- 1.5GB RAM (Up from the DSi, which is 256MB)
- Vastly improved graphics
- Larger game cards (2GB at launch, compared to the 256MB max the DS has)
- 3D camera
- 3D Movies
- 3D Television
- Street Pass Mode
- New games (Which are significantly better if the software trailer is anything to go by)
- Better hardware in general (Improved processors, etc.)
- Gyro (The same thing the iPhone has for the tilt gaming)
