Okay, so the common stereotype about PC-users, is that they are uncool, get-a-life nerds(...)
If you use PC, why are you calling yourself, me, and all PC users nerds? This could get flame-y.
I'm telling you about a common stereotype. Not agreeing with it.

Are you just making these stereotypes up? Seriously, why is it when you own a PC you suddenly become a nerd? Everyone owns a computer and most of them are PCs. Real actuate info you got there sanddude.

Dude, you can't get a sterotype about Windows users from a Mac commercial... of course Apple wants to make Windows users seem lame!

Yeah.
For future. My parents absolutely won't get me a laptop. I'm saving up, but it's a lot of money, so it'll be a little while.

They run MacOSX and Windows, if you want.
But it dosen't wok the other way around. Windows machines can't run MacOSX.
Only Macs can run MacOSX legally.
The reason for this might be, because Mac's are more expensive. Apple could be robbed off money, by people buying a Windows and just installing Mac on it.

No, Apple's just a control freak about their hardware/software. (Although you really can't blame them.)
P.S. Get a desktop, not a laptop.

I already have a desktop.
A laptop would be of use.

I like windows 7 better because of a few things:
1: There's a easy to use search bar right on the start menu, very useful
2: It looks simple and sophisticated
3: It's just more compatible, in my opinion
4: It has the same functionality as a mac, if not more, for just half the price
5: The little applications you can put on the desktop. I love being able to see what the weather's like as soon as I turn my computer on, without going outside!
'Nuff said.

One thing - PC lets you kind of....choose more. You can decide which you want to buy - Which brand, etc. Mac is all the same.

depends what you want your computer to do.
If it's just general stuff, I'd recommend a MAC, because they're pretty easy to use and understand. Pretty slick graphics too, and there's lots of stuff you can do on them. Downside: really expensive.
Conclusion: Macs are really flexible, but expensive.
If you're really a techie, then go PC. Windows are much better platforms for either gaming, or all the other stuff computer people use (I'm a MAC. My dad still uses windows 2000
)
Cons: Can be harder to use, really isn't a great general purpose computer.
Conclusion: If you're really into scratch, then you should probably go windows, because it's a great platform for all the support programs, like paint, photoshop, tablets, and games.
Sorry if this is a little biased, but I'm in love with my friend's dell laptop.

I really don't see how Windows is unsuitable for general use. That's what's so great about it. Pretty much everyone can understand the basics, but there's tons of other stuff you can do.

Thank you all for your suggestions!
I've decided to go MacBook. I have a Windows desktop, and I love it. I have a romance with Movie Maker, DVD Maker, and other Windows programs.
But I am also fond of GarageBand, Xcode, and other Mac programs.
Therefore, I would enjoy the convience of having both a Mac and Windows computer.
Now help me get the money for my MacBook!
