Minecraft Discussion

(There was one of these, but it faded out, so I am making a new one)

NOTE: THIS IS ALPHA DISCUSSION ONLY!!!

Minecraft discussion! Talk about all things Minecraft related! Every now and then I will post a new topic on this post to talk about, but you don't have to talk about it.

Topic(#1): Describe your house/shelter!

Discuss  big_smile

Re: Minecraft Discussion

(Reply to Topic #1)
My house is basically a mine house in the middle of a lake, and on top of it is my actual house. This is where I keep my stuff, and I have made bridges to mini viewing platforms far, far away. I also have a huge underground shelter that is really big, and so far, I have found a lot of stuff down there.

Even if Paypal gives the Euro price will it pay in USD?

Re: Minecraft Discussion

Actually there's no real point in buying it unless you want skins because all you have to do is download the .exe and when it tells you that login failed, use offline mode. I haven't tried the alpha multiplayer yet in offline mode, but single player is fully functional.

Re: Minecraft Discussion

I need to get minecraft. I really do. Once I get it I think I will make my house in the side of a cliff, with a greenhouse and an underground mine somewhere else, with all the buildings connected by underground tunnels.

"Play Offline" is unclickable?

Do you have an actual account on it?

Wouldn't that take a while? You would be pretty far in the game by that time unless all you get all your resources in your mine, and then just spend all your time indoors.

Re: Minecraft Discussion

My house is in the side of a mountain. It's got glass walls and connects to the biggest mine ever. It's easy to get lost in there and it goes on forever.

Re: Minecraft Discussion

My house is a normal crate house that's nuzzled by a lake. It's underground and was very cheap. It's first floor has 2 layers of crate walls and a ceiling, and the rest is dirt (floor, rest of the wall). I have a furnace and my workshop in there. The second floor is completely concrete. In it is a large chest. Then it leads down into a large mine I found, which in there I found a plentiful amount of materials, and a treasure room with a monster spawner.

Later, I revisited the treasure room, where I had an encounter with my first skeleton and I died. I then went through a quarrel where I had to get in there again and retrieve my items. Then I blocked off the mine.

So yeah, it's basic, but still, it has a good amount of light, the basic needs, a door to enclose it, so yeah.

If you use that, you can't play multiplayer, or get updates. If you don't mind playing this version forever, then it's okay.

But then you won't get beta. Notch is changing the website so you have to be logged in to download, but I guess until then, have fun!

That's sort of illegal, considering that you really are supposed to pay to play Alpha...
