A majority of my recent favorites are Alternative and Metal, though I personally would just call them Rock, but whatever. A majority of my usual favorites are "Classical" rock/pop.
But, usually, the term I use to describe the kind of music I like is: "The kind of music your parents listened to when they were kids."

Gave you some advice and comments on the video.
I like Metal (Heavy and Thrash), Hard Rock, Classic Rock, and some Alternative and Electronic music.

thanks for the help!
i've tried many things with this song, but there's always more to try too.
though i didn't really appreciate that comment about not liking my voice XD,
i guess maybe it's just not your genre?

I don't think so, I kinda like that sort of music. In fact I'm helping out my friend to audition for an event, with an acoustic modern pop-ish song. As I've said in the video, I personally think you sang the MCR song better, because you sang louder.

is volume really that big of an issue?
i'd like to see your opinion again when i'm done professionally recording it, you've been helpful with the constructive criticism so far so thanks.
any more feedback from some other people too though?

Country is good.
Screaming rock is pretty good to me. Not epic, though. But it is absolutely amazing when you fuse it with Alternative.
Oh, and you like Linkin Park. They are a great band, but they could be considered screaming rock.

Oh, and when you finish recording, you can submit it as a single to iTunes, AmazonMP3, Rhapsody, and more online music services via this website, for only $9. To submit a full album, you will need to pay $25.
