It can, if you replace the Scratch.image in the Required Files (or manual_save) folder with the one from your Scratch folder (usually C:\Program Files\Scratch or C:\Program Files (x86)\Scratch on 64-bit systems).
W00t, second page!

Actually, it's not that easy, as the image already in there is specially modified to quit when clicking the back arrow in presentation mode.
Quoting myself from here:
Well, if people want to make EXEs with custom blocks, they'll have to mod off the image already there.

Awesome!

Hi,
Enhancement request: May I request to have a version without prompting any message, just convert the project to exe(no question ask)? Example: no exe name, caption and save project.
Thanks

Bump!
I am starting on 1.1, which will have the following changes:
•dropping the manual save feature (it had no real use and came from a miscommunication anyway); if you really want it, I'm going to keep earlier versions available, so you can still get 1.0.1
•addition of support for custom icons
•the option to omit dialogs individually

how can I run programs on my mobile phone symbian which supports java?
how can I translate .sb file to .jar ?
You'd have to ask that in another thread, as I am in no way an expert on Java (in fact, I know next to none!).
Version 1.1 of Scratch EXE Creator has been released, with all of the above listed changes, as well as reduced file size (both the zip download and the produced EXE) and getting rid of the dependency on having a static name and allowing renaming of the produced EXE (YAY )!

Try this icon generator. I use it, and it works. Use 32x32 for the icon size, as that is the regular size of an EXE icon.

Why would you want a DMG creator

Heck, you can create DMGs on your own with Macs (yes, I've used a Mac enough to know this)
Actually, I'm thinking of making a Scratch APP Creator with Automator if I can get my hands on a Mac...

Cool! Does it require the user to have scratch installed to play the EXEs I made?
Nope! That's why these types of programs were created, to be able to play Scratch projects without needing Scratch installed!

A .app creator would be a lot easier. BYOB has it.

Bump!
Development on this is going nowhere if I don't get any feedback/ideas! (Unless, of course, it's perfect already... )
I may start making a GUI (Graphical User Interface) for this, but IDK when...

Hi,
I tried this and when I enter the text in CommandPrompt or whatever, it just keeps repeating the form. Could I get a little help, please? What text are you supposed to enter? Why isn't it working?

Which form? What question is it asking you? It's hard for me to tell what's wrong when you just say "the form" because there's so many options . Can you post a screenshot?

Well, it's the first form. The one that says "Type the name of the final EXE you want (don't use /,\,:,<,>, or an ampersand):"
BTW, what's an ampersand?

Sorry for the late responses, people. I haven't been able to get on because of schoolwork...
@forest and gnk2200: Are you using Windows XP? That doesn't support the "choice" command that is used by Scratch EXE Creator. I'm probably going to have to fix that sometime.
And gnk2200, an ampersand is this character: &
Thank you, those that gave compliments!

The converter rocks! Still, it would be cool for the .exe file not to take up the whole screen.
I'm going to see what I can do about that.

Dang! Tell ya what, if I don't get pulled off my comp, I'll whip up a new version that (hopefully) will work with XP and post it. (Why did Microsoft pull that command anyways? It's just stupid.)

Yay, I finished an XP version! Now I have to wait for it to upload...
Edit: Yay, it's done!
It's tested with all the default choices, but has not been thoroughly tested. Feedback is appreciated.

I replied to your post and explained why I didn't respond quickly. I have a life outside of Scratch, you know.
Did the build for XP work for you?
The build for the xp actually does work brilliantly..
Also- Sorry- there have been no messages from you in my messages and i looked in the thread and i saw none there.. maybe there was a glitch somewhere in the system.. and its great you have a life outside of scratch.(and that was not meant in a sarcastic way).
one thing is you got me looking at information etc.. about batch files.. which is probably the sort of thing educationally this website should be about..
anyway now i am going to have fun revamping a website i created sometime ago and really wanted to change.. time is so precious.

Glad it worked for you! (Do I have enough people using this to say "yet another satisfied customer? )
I have been programming in batch files for a while now. I am active in another project which uses batch files, called SIMPL-DOS.
Scratch EXE Creator also uses something called NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) to make the EXE itself. The main purpose of NSIS is to make installers (hence its name), but I have managed to get it to work for my purposes. It's simple if you just scrounge around for the commands you need and fill in the rest with what you've learned, but I've taken a look at other script files and it's pretty complex - no wonder some people compare it to assembly!
