Um, this is confusing. In the UK, ratings go:
U, PG, 12A, 12, 15, 18.

U and PG are generally OK, like in America, and the rest are by age.

No, there's X rated (Which has been switched to the name NC-17) which is worse than R.

Almost all the X-rated movies in existence were re-rated R though.

RoboCop and Saw were rated X when they first came out.
