[Q] How to import an mp3 file into OLPC Scratch

Hi,

Is it possible to import an mp3 file into an OLPC version of Scratch? I am trying to help my son's project and he needs a background music. I have an mp3 file, but do not know how to import it into his OLPC Scratch.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Q] How to import an mp3 file into OLPC Scratch

I'm not sure how OLPC laptops' version of Scratch differs from the regular one, but in Scratch 1.4 on my computer if you select a Sprite and go into the "Sounds" tab, and then click "import". You can browse through the file system and select a sound file to import.

Hope this helps  smile

Re: [Q] How to import an mp3 file into OLPC Scratch

Here's how:
1. Click on the sprite that will be playing the music.
2. Click on the "Sounds" tab right next to the stage.
3. Click "Import".
4. Find your sound file on your hard drive, click it, and then click "OK".

The file will now appear in the "Sound" blocks  smile .
