9/11, in my eyes was one of the worst tragedies in American history, second only to Rachel's challenge

That's a beautiful outtake. I'm very proud of you for making a topic of this. Thank you, TheSaint.

We remember the people who are lost in this terrible happening, and continue to learn from this to make the world a better place.

It is totally disrespectful to the entire muslem community and religeon. Not every Muslem had something to do with the bombing. Only a tiny, tiny extremist group did. And burning the Holy Book of their belief is sickening and horribly disrespectful and goes against everything america believes in.

That's like burning the Torah because one jew blew up a building. Blaming an entire religeon is not correct.

I would argue to say I'm not a kid, but at the same time I don't really care. It doesn't matter how old you are, it matters about your sense of justice and it's sickening that people who have had so much more experience in the world are so corrupted is disgusting.

Didn't the Priest agree to stop the Qua'ran burning?

I agree that the Priest's actions were much to extreme. It's like how Nazi's had book burning.

True, they are an extremist group. But that is no excuse. Your right, we should not blame a country for the Qua'ran burner's faults, but we should punish them. It's horribly incorrect.

I was in kindergarten when it happened, so I don't remember much of the details of that day. But it certainly was a very sad event  sad

But many Muslims themselves have burned Bibles and other religious objects such as crucifixes. They are guilty of the same crime that this small extremist group has been charged with, but you only want to punish the small extremist group.

Lets not argue about the Mosque today. This is a day of remeberance, not present.

Also, I was in third grade when it happened. I can't remember much, but I do remeber that my entire school shut down for the day, and we were all shocked at what had happened.

That's another good point.

I saw some awful show on History Channel last night about 9-11 conspiracy theories. I got bored after 10 minutes.

They made a show on british channel "Channel 4".
It was recordings from normal people who witnessed it all.
I remember a part where a camera was focused on a guy falling from a hieght, then the camera saw a bit of the second explosion.
Awful, just awful....

And with world war 3, i would have made a project to say farewell.

Re: 9/11: A Day of Remeberance

My dad knew a guy who was killed working in the Twin Towers. One of my great grandpa's best friends was killed too. She was working there and after the plane hit she started to get all her co-workers out of the building. After they were all out, she went back in to make sure she got everyone, and then the building came down on top of her.

I watched the live coverage of it by CNN on youtube a few weeks ago. So much confusion. They were talking with a guy on the phone, and when the second plane hit, all you could here were strangulated screams in the background, and the news people couldn't tell what was happening. They need to make 9/11 a federal holiday, call it the American version of Remembrance Day. That would be perfect.

On topic, I wasn't in the country when 9/11 happened. I scarcely remember anything about it. And to make matters worse, schools hardly even teach us about it. Yesterday, they didn't even put a tribute in the morning announcements.
It was probably THE biggest tragedy in American history.. I am angered with my school.
