I know, it's a good "trend" (If you'd call it that), but I don't think it's really necessary, especially because the picking of candidates hasn't started yet..

Yes, yes, I've been running for things (Well, student government) for years (Well, three years.), and I've always won against kids who appeared to be more "Popular", because I was (Not to be vain    ) one of the best candidates. And I find it very, very annoying when someone wins just because of their popularity, despite the fact they gave no reasons why they deserved the position, and probably didn't deserve it in the first place.. (I'm going off of real life experience here)
So, children, teens, adults, VOTERS FOR THE SCRATCH COMMUNITY, make the right choice. Vote for who YOU think is right.

Really? At most schools, kids vote for their friends, not the people that they think are best for the position. 

I know, it was very odd when they announced that I had won last year. I was against one of my best friends, and we had the same amount of friends (For the most part..) but she was generally liked more amongst our class.. I guess my eight minute long speech did me well XD
And mine was improvised, anyway, as opposed to the five other candidates who brought papers to read from.

Eight minutes? Whoa. At my school, a speech that's over four minutes is WAY too long. 

It was allll improvised (For me, at least), so yeah. We each got three minutes, but I got in a debate with another campaigner, so we got to argue our points (Until I won  )
People are sheep, as I have explained many times. They think I'm smart, one gets the idea that a smart person makes a good choice for student goverment (Which isn't necessarily true), and that idea slowly spreads around the class..

My school would never, ever do that. If the speeches are supposed to take a short amount of time, they WILL take a short amount of time.

It was his first year teaching, so, yeah, that explains some of it. Kinda..

Anyways, I'm going to write my speech on why people shouldn't vote for me. Tomorrow, though.. Because I like to procrastinate- Reason 1 why rufflebee should not be a mod

This thread's point has been seen. The amount of new threads "like this" are going to decrease, because Paddle make an unoffical official (Yeah,  ) thread for discussion on this.

Unless, of course, you're literally talking about the animal, in which case, I dunno. I've never eaten sheep before, and I haven't really observed their behavior.
