Vote Rufflebee for Community Moderator!

As we have already established, many, many times:
YOU IS A SHEEP.
http://i54.tinypic.com/313rtrc.jpg
furreal.

I'm not running.
I just made this to say: Don't you think there's a tad too many threads like this (Well, how you assumed this would be  tongue ) ? I think they need to make a sticky in Announcements about running for mod, now, before these threads take over..

Oh, and I'd like to add something:
Don't just vote for your "Friends." Vote for who you think'd do a good job.

Re: Vote Rufflebee for Community Moderator!

I think these kinds of threads are fine. Because if you're skimming misc to see who's running, it's a great way to tell, rather than reading through one whole thread.  tongue

Maybe it's a little spammy, but it's fine  smile .

Re: Vote Rufflebee for Community Moderator!

I know, it's a good "trend" (If you'd call it that), but I don't think it's really necessary, especially because the picking of candidates hasn't started yet..

I thought you were serious.  tongue

Anyway, I don't think the threads are bad. There have been much more annoying trends. And you've got some good advice at the end there:
Don't just vote for your "Friends." Vote for who you think'd do a good job.

Too bad you're not actually running. I might have voted for you  hmm

But anyway, yeah, I agree. Misc is getting trended again.  sad

Re: Vote Rufflebee for Community Moderator!

Pfft.
I highly doubt I will re-consider running for moderator. I highly doubt anyone would consider me, anyway, unless of course they were just going to vote for their "Friends", which would be going against what I said.

I don't think the threads are bad, I just think it would be better if they were all kept in a more.. "Controlled" (Erm.. I dunno, it makes sense, kinda..) environment, all together on one main thread in Announcements.

If anything, though, I'll write a speech on why you shouldn't vote for me.

Yes, yes, I've been running for things (Well, student government) for years (Well, three years.), and I've always won against kids who appeared to be more "Popular", because I was (Not to be vain  wink  ) one of the best candidates. And I find it very, very annoying when someone wins just because of their popularity, despite the fact they gave no reasons why they deserved the position, and probably didn't deserve it in the first place.. (I'm going off of real life experience here)
So, children, teens, adults, VOTERS FOR THE SCRATCH COMMUNITY, make the right choice. Vote for who YOU think is right.
Thats all  big_smile

Really? At most schools, kids vote for their friends, not the people that they think are best for the position.  hmm

I know, it was very odd when they announced that I had won last year. I was against one of my best friends, and we had the same amount of friends (For the most part..) but she was generally liked more amongst our class.. I guess my eight minute long speech did me well XD
And mine was improvised, anyway, as opposed to the five other candidates who brought papers to read from.

It was allll improvised (For me, at least), so yeah. We each got three minutes, but I got in a debate with another campaigner, so we got to argue our points (Until I won  tongue )
People are sheep, as I have explained many times. They think I'm smart, one gets the idea that a smart person makes a good choice for student goverment (Which isn't necessarily true), and that idea slowly spreads around the class..

You had a debate?  yikes  That makes our school election sound very boring and uninteresting. The candidates each gave a short speech and that was it.  tongue

Ours was planned to be much similar to that. We even got time out of art class to give our speeches, and that was supposed to be it..
But, my teacher was extremely excited at the idea of an election for student goverment, so we "Practiced having friendly debates" instead of social studies  tongue

My school would never, ever do that. If the speeches are supposed to take a short amount of time, they WILL take a short amount of time.  tongue

Thats how my school was, but not my teacher  tongue
It was his first year teaching, so, yeah, that explains some of it. Kinda..

Anyways, I'm going to write my speech on why people shouldn't vote for me. Tomorrow, though.. Because I like to procrastinate- Reason 1 why rufflebee should not be a mod  wink

The reason there are a lot of threads like this is because a lot of people want to become a moderator.  It's not really a trend unless the people posting them are just doing it for the sake of doing it and not because they think they can do a good job as a mod.

Re: Vote Rufflebee for Community Moderator!

This thread's point has been seen. The amount of new threads "like this" are going to decrease, because Paddle make an unoffical official (Yeah,  tongue ) thread for discussion on this.
But, I'll keep this up. Unless it goes off-topic, the topic being me being a moderator o_O what a nightmare that is..

Lets not make generalizations.
After all, I say everyone is a sheep in some way, because when it comes down to it, we are  tongue
Unless, of course, you're literally talking about the animal, in which case, I dunno. I've never eaten sheep before, and I haven't really observed their behavior.

Actually, just some discussion has been moved there, apparently. People are still making plenty threads about the election, I see.
