sounds sound different online why

I saw this too. Scratch is built into your computer. The internet scratch has to go through files and files of stuff. Then it lags and makes the sound sound duller.

What do you mean with "sounds" ?

If you mean the MIDI commands "play note () for ... secs etc", you are right. MIDI is played  by your sound card, so it even sounds different if you run your project on another PC. The online version connects to a "soundbank" so they are not "generated" by your sound card and they do not sound different.

The sounds you imported should sound the same way as offline (the version you can download! Not the one before you shared. Sounds get compressed when you share, and when you don't save, you will here the original ones offline) The only thing that may change is the volume of the sound.
