Well, i kind of got carried away in photoshop, this is what I came up with.

I tried to use the image tag for this, but scratch says that new users can't use it, I have used the forums for at least a year... Gosh...
as if this would ever happen...
P.S.
Youtube has a pretty good system set up for customization, so you could do something like that.

I love this idea- I have a poor mockup http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/acester/1568301 and by the way, how do you get a signature for the forums?

Nice mockup! Actually, we're about to release a Scratch 2.0 update, and our current mockup is not so different from this one.

Ah, I see you have just graduated to Scratcher!
Nice mockup - really gorgeous actually! We are definetly working more customization. Your idea looks like it would fit with a theme based model. We're going to focus on modules first, but themes could be a future possibility.

coolstuff made a gallery for the projects made for this here.

They don't know already - they only asked the moderators and I volunteered to create the gallery.

Aha, one more thing! I, being the wonderful person I am, compiled all the mockups posted as images into a project, too - and they're also scrollable. Well, most of them are. Anyways, here's the project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/coolfixit/1569844

My idea is to: Have a "Send Message" where you send something like a PM to that user. You can set it so other users can send you messages or not, and there can be a sub-category for the "my stuff" page, saying "inbox". There can also be a description like thing, like a User Notes. You can change the User Notes just like Project Notes, and there will be a link under the "change picture" link saying "change background", and it does the same thing, but you upload a file to put as a tile on the background. Also you can select a color for your background with a dropdown menu above the thing where you upload a picture to upload as a tile on the background. And theres another sub-category for "my stuff" called "edit profile", and you can arrange where things are on the page. thx

Thanks to everyone who has contributed mockups! There's a mockup we made of how user pages might look in Sratch 2.0 on our February Scratch 2.0 Progress Report.

I have a completely new mockup! When on the page that this link goes to, see the latest image on the page!

Congrats on the progress!
At your request, a while back, I compiled everyone's ideas on the wiki, and listed the most suggested ones, as fairly as I could:
Some of the most suggested ideas
- Changeable background image or color, uploadable image.
- Changeable bio or message.
- Changeable featured project.
- Projects sortable by favorites, top loved, top viewed. (by popularity on the site.)
- Projects arranged by the user, (by what the user thinks of the project.)
- Comments section.
- All customizable items can be flagged
I understand it's not complete. But I'll try to outline the ideas you presented:
- Optional/Rearrangeable sections.
About me- Brief description 140 characters.
Friends- list your friends.
Latest News- post the latest news on your page.
Featured Project - Highlight some of your projects.
Latest Projects - Your latest published projects.
Top Loved - Shows which of your project are most loved by scratchers.
Blocks Stats - Shows your [?could not read?] stats.
Recent Activity - Shows your recent activity.
- Optional block for changeable bio.
- Optional block for changeable message "news".
- Optional block for featured projects by others
- Optional block for Changeable featured projects by user
Cool!
Questions:
Do the customizations change the view for everyone else or just me? (I'm guessing for everyone.) I think this can work... But what if I want to see a section the user has hid? ...or if I prefer/expect to see sections in a particular order?
Would "Top loved" be a repeat of "Latest projects", just in another order?
Thanks for sharing your progress and incorporating some of the ideas produced by many hours of work/discussion by the community.

First off, thanks very much for all the work you put in to organizing all these suggestions. It's very helpful. And I should mention that the selection of widgets we showed in the mockup aren't the final word. The nice thing about widgets is that it makes it fairly easy to invent and add new ones down the road.
The issue you raise about customizations is one we're still mulling over, so I can't give you a definitive answer. There is a risk of confusion when any page looks one way to the owner, and another way to the viewer. It's important for the owner to have a clear sense of how they "look" to the outside world. We hope to minimize these situations whenever possible, but it's too soon to tell how much we'll have to compromise this goal.
Right now, if the owner hasn't enabled a widget, the viewer cannot see the contents of that widget. And yes, it is possible that top loved might repeat latest projects. If that happens, it'll be up to the owner to rearrange things, or disable one of the widgets, if they don't like the redundancy.

Here are my Top 10 ideas:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/ … ockUp2.png
1. Allow me to have a bigger picture.
2. Limit location to drop-down selection of country (or in the case of US, country and state).
3. Allow me to post a personal message to visitors to my personal page.
4. Allow other people to post short messages to my page (strip out links to minimize spam). I can easily delete them when I've read them. Make it so that a person can not post twice in a row. If storage is a problem, keep only the 10 latest messages.
5. Organize the bulk of stuff into tabs: Projects, Galleries, Favorites, and Friends.
6. Allow me to select one of my projects to be featured on my page.
7. Allow me to rearrange my other projects in the order that I want.
8. Below each project picture, show "Comments" and "Love its."
9. On the gallery and favorites tabs, allow me to manage my galleries and favorite projects.
10. On the friends tab, allow me to add and delete friends. Also, allow me to see who has me listed as their friend.
I hope this helps!

There's so many awesome mockups out there and all of you did a great job! Here's my idea: instead of having just only 1 skin that you have to have for your user page, what if you could do something like have a place where people make user page skins and download other people's custom skins that they made and add it to your user page?

Accounts In Scratch Projects
I think it would be cool if Scratchers could create projects that people could sign up with a username and password like in an MMORPG and save their progress on the game. If they came back, they could sign in with the same username and password and the game would come on where they last left off.

EPIC!!
It's goin' to be cool to cozmize our pages!
