Not allowed is more extreme than that. That's it. There is no need to rate these. You're just making more kids think that they're too stupid to play a game with some violence because of how long they've existed.

(I personally will go around whatever you rate and reply to it saying "this is only a person's opinion, you can play it whatever your age, in fact it might be better for your sanity if you ignore it." whenever you rate something)

I don't see any harm in attempting to sub-categorize projects as long as only projects that are requested by their authors are judged.  Sorry for the ugly sentence there....

Anyway, people can certainly chose to ignore the ratings if they want...but others might find them useful.

I also like Sunrise-Moon's idea of making galleries for the various ratings.  Let's say your 5 year-old cousin was looking for a few hours of entertainment and education.  You might want to park him or her in a Scratch gallery rated with projects that wouldn't shock him/her (or his/her parents!).

I don't really like the idea of you remixing projects and putting an animation in it and then making us re upload. I take it it's not compulsory?

We don't randomly remix peoples project and force them to re-upload it, don't worry. Its all volunteered. We only rate if someone asks and then they re-uploaded the version with the rating.

And thanks Paddle, for clearing that up. I too think Sunrise-Moon's idea is great, and will be adding a feature like that.

Paddle says sort them into galleries so no one is surprised, and they ignore "OH MY GOSH HE"S EATING PEOPLE WITH A WORM!"

Maybe cause it's not allowed on the website anyway? And get a real signature.

Uh, dude, mild language and suggestive themes aren't allowed  hmm  Well, that is, if you consider heck, *, and d@m as language, like the mods do.
