The Scratch Rating Team (Or SRT) rate scratch projects on a scale to find out which one is appropriate for you!
.:How our Rating Works:.
We view the project while selecting some warnings for it such as mild blood, scariness, mild violence etc. Then, we determine the final rating by how many of what warnings are in it, for example, if it has 'mild violence', it will probably be E10.
Our ranking system:
C (Childhood) 5-8
E (Everyone) All
E10 (Everyone ten and up) 10+
T (Teen) 13+
Of course, because it is scratch, it doesn't go much higher than T or it is Flag-worthy.
We will then remix the project in need of rating, add our rating animation, and then you download and re-upload!
.:Apply for a Job:.
If you want to be a Rater of the SRT, just ask. You must promise you will use common sense. Think of it from not just your perspective but everyone 5 to 50's.
We will discuss the current project to be rated in the Scratch Rating Team EMPLOYEE'S ONLY topic, coming when we have a few more recruits.
Remember we are only rating games.
.:Our Employees:.
Wiimaster: Head Rater
Lellowsfuzz: Rook
SeptimusHeap: Rook
.:Projects to be Rated:.
Currently, none
Thanks for using the Scratch Rating Service!

Sure! Note that during the rating for the first three projects, you are proving yourself good. I can fire you any time during that, so be on your best work! After the course of three projects, you are a true employee (You can still be fired, but only if you REALLY do something inappropriate)
But I am sure you will be fine! Congrats on the job!

Ooh! Ooh! Rate-- Actually, I don't know. Can I have a spot reserved for my 3D game engine once I publish it?

Thx. Can I rate a project without anyone asking to rate it?

No. But for your first assignment, rate this project. It is VERY simple for a first one, it is hardly a game, more of a simulation. Go to the Scratch Rating Team EMPLOYEES ONLY topic (That I am making now) to discuss it with me.

This sounds like it could be a great idea, but I doubt most people check remixes before playing a game. Maybe a gallery for each rating?

That means that a game rated "childhood" could have suggestive themes and alcohol refrence! LOL!
BTW can I join?

No, you re-upload the remix so it is the original project

Already I can see how this is stupid.
mild violence = E10. I mean really. Mild violence = childhood. ACTUAL violence = E7 at most.
I forgot to mention. I've lost all hope in you three.

What is the actual point of this? Scratch has 2 clear ratings: allowed and disallowed.
Allowed-
violence
mild blood
mild language
crude humor
suggestive themes
etc.
Not allowed is more extreme than that. That's it. There is no need to rate these. You're just making more kids think that they're too stupid to play a game with some violence because of how long they've existed.
(I personally will go around whatever you rate and reply to it saying "this is only a person's opinion, you can play it whatever your age, in fact it might be better for your sanity if you ignore it." whenever you rate something)

No. Just no. Mild violence is NOT 'childhood'. And 'E7' isn't a rating.
Juststickman, you are being quite disrespectful. If you go around on every project we rate posting its just our opinion, I WILL REPORT YOU. Its spam, because it has nothing to do with the project. And the 'two clear rules' can be very unclear. Many allowed projects that are still on the site you wouldn't show to a five year old, like 08Jackt's Red Dawn. That is still allowed, but not for everyone. These ratings are to help, and we are trying not to put it at a single opinion but a collective one.
And if you constantly post spam on project we rated, I am 'ignoring you' because I have no time for annoyance.
