I dunno how to help you, icecream, seeing that I'm starting middle school too. Just don't worry about kids and such, school is there for learning, not to bother with ignorant children.

ON TOPIC: Beware, you will be piled with homework on the first day. And make sure you get to class ON TIME. There is nothing worse(besides bullies) than mad teachers.

Now all I have to do is wait for homework the size of my hard drive to come in next school year.

So, icecream, though you aren't worried about this kind of thing, I still suggest practicing how to use combination locks (If your locker uses them, that is)

It took me a week to figure it out. It isn't hard, it is just not as easy as the TV shows make it out to be. On TV, you see people doing it in two seconds flat. At least in 6th grade, or 5th in sanddude's school, you ARE NOT going to be able to do it that fast. I, being one of the fastest locker openers in 6th grade, clock in at about 7-9 seconds to open it.

On another topic, so far we are just doing reviews on 5th, 4th, EVEN 3rd grade stuff. 

Math is GCF*, LCM**, and converting between decimal number, fractions, and percents.
Language is Possessive Nouns.
The others are actually on-level.

I have a long school year. Summer break 6 weeks.

I start tomorrow. My summer homework isn't done, I haven't set up my book bag yet, I don't even have all of my school supplies (I just got my math list on thursday), and I'm still worried about my locker. Cliques are the least of my worries

Umm.. My sister (Who's going into eigth grade) wants to give you (Well, all sixth graders) some advice    She says: In sixth grade, you CAN'T slack off.
Thats all.. Kind of. The rest might apply to just my school's classes, and the rest after that is mainly directed at me. She says if you slack off in sixth you won't be able to get in [insert weird acronym that I do not remember here] classes when you go into seventh and eigth, and my sister said she when she was in 6th grade, she thought she was better than everyone, and didn't try hard enough in classes, so she didn't get into the [insert acronym] classes. So I suggest being mainly focused on school in sixth. Which is what I will be doing

I don't know precisely what 6th Grade translates into in terms of English schooling, although I may be able to help you as I'm going into my last year of compulsory schooling at 15 years old.

Also, don't be worried about the 300 kids. There are 1600+ in my school, and it's not that bad.

6th graders are usually 11-12 years old.

Ah. That would be the same rough age we enter high school. I'm on track now.
