Look at the earlier posts - the Scratch Team will never get rid of it...

As I said before, this should be closed and put in the sticky for resolved suggestions.

how about filtering out projects that start with "add yourself"

Hmmm... You could use a tags or title filter to add one Add Yourself project, one remix chain that isn't Add Yourself (like Level One), and one that just happened to get Top Remixed. That could be tricky, though.
