The way we talk online today, will be the way kids talk in a normal conversation 20 years from now! I have this theory because kids are just so incredibaly stupid these days, that in 20 years, they'll be EXTREMELY stupid.
What do you think?

What do I think...
Oh, am I too stupid to think or no?
Because, of course, you are the one that can tell the future here.

They already do. Ever seen a typical "popular, cool" 13 year old girl before? Talking like that is not cool. Hooray for anyone who doesn't!

Anyway, as my teacher said it (With a rufflebee take on it), our generation is very lucky to have access to the technology we have today: Computers, Cell phones, ect. But eventually, yes, they probably will take a huge impact on our communication skills.
But in the same sense, it could also improve them drastically. Discuss?
Har har.

Well..... Um..... What?

I usually only say that when I joking to my friends. I say OMG sometimes, but not as much as my little sister. Luckily, I don't have a phone to text on, so I don't do that to my friends that much.

I don't think you should be called kids stupid, since the whole website is made essentially of kids, and don't forget, you're also included in the kid category. Anyway, it probably will get worse, but what's wrong with using acronyms? Many people use them in today's times as well, so I'd say it's more like 7 or 8 years, not 30 years.

If someone mind controls kids/teens, that someone controls the future.

Sounds like the plot for Doggy Poo 2: Judgement Day.

It's fine online, but it's NOT fine in a normal conversation.
That's your opinion.
Stop calling me stupid. And that guy next door. And the people reading this.
Also, laser is an acronym. Should we stop using that?

Language continually evolves to suit the needs of the people. The way we talk now is very different from the way people talked 200 years ago...yet we still manage to communicate. I'm sure language will continue to evolve and will probably be influenced by our most recent communication toys, as you hypothesize. Time will tell.
An interesting thing to think about and discuss! But please don't make sweeping assertions about "stupid kids" these days...it's insulting and not backed by any data. Also it makes you sound like a grumpy old person

Kids aren't incredibley stupid these days... They aren't stupid at all.
EDIT: True paddle xD

I am articulate.
I've spoken with my Air Force buddies for hours on end about the cold war.
When I speak with my friends, the shortest word I use is 'bro'.
This will not happen.
It's fun to speculate, though!

I hate that; I don't talk like that or text like that

"Cool" is such a common word for us that it doesn't seem like slang, but part of our dictionary. I hope conversations like this don't happen soon
