The gradient tool is supposed to let you make images with shadow and light effects. On Scratch, it doesn't. When you first make a background with the gradient tool, it looks beatiful, but after you save it then open it again, it looks all choppy. I'm not sure about on the website, but when your building your project, the gradient tool doesn't do it's job.
There are probably no other soloutions that importing pictures with gradient right? Well that the programmers of Scratch need to fix this because I'm trying to make a really good game with awsome graphics.
(This is twice I haven't been able to finish a game because of a glitch on Scratch!)

If you have a 1.1 IMAGE file, you can make a game without that happening if you don't have any features from 1.2.1. (you can get it from a forum topic, but I don't have a link yet.)
NOTE: You might want to back up your projects (especially if you're using windows) before trying this. If you have a mac and they aren't saaved on MacScratch, you should be OK.
