This isn't quite a story per-say, but more of a novel told over timelines and fictional events. Tell me what you think, critique the brains out of it, this is just experimental. As always there's humor in there. Oh, a very slight warning is in here for mildly mature themes. This one's long, but they tend to be because I have to get to a billion here. Hours of work bring you this timeline of the future.
Chapter 1: Very Near Future
2012: No Apocalypse, unfortunately. Human race is disappointed. Life goes on, with a surprisingly high rate of suicide.
2015: Global warming takes it's toll. Some city nobody cares about is sunk. Politicians say " Who cares, we'll fix it later"
2020: Another Apocalypse prediction, this time for 2030, appears. It involves monkeys, aliens, and a LOT of hair.
2023: Global Warming causes extreme amounts of flood, plague, pestilence, and drought. Politicans say "Who cares, we'll fix it later"
2025: Nanotechnology is now practical. People can regain lost limbs and eyes with it's use.
2030: People are actually worried about climate change now. Thousands die in tsunamis, floods and droughts. People raid Canada for food. Politicians say 'Who care's, we'll fix it later'. No Apocalypse yet.
2060: Plans for the colonization of Mars begin for 2070. About half the world of 9.3 Billion people will be transported, while the rest will move inland to avoid the extreme flooding.
2065: Millions die in floods, and a new pandemic has started infecting people. 37 Million people die before it is stopped. Nanotechnology manages to help develop holograms which can act like cell phones. Internet is replaced with the Outernet.
Another million die because of floods.
2068: As the date to leave approaches, development of technology almost stops. Flood waters recede, but due to enormous lack of food and inferility war on the streets is fought. People kill for food to sustain themselves, resulting in a type of World War 3. Thousands of species are extinct, especially birds. Biodiversity is reduced to almost nothing. Almost 100 Million are killed. Politicians say "We'll deal with it later"
2070: Colonization of Mars is complete. Luckily no Martians. With the reduction of people World War 3 stops. People rejoice, and create high-tech cities.
Chapter 2: The Age of Expansion
2100: Due to the ability of Mach-41 travel, it's only a day's trip to travel between Earth and Mars, and it is now practical. Families rejoice. Human population is at about 10.1 Billion now, with 5 billion on Earth and 5 billion on Mars. It's complicated, but soon life returns to normal. Advances in technology are so great now, work on an Asteroid Repeller have begun in South Eastern Mars.
2110: Asteroid hits South Easter Mars unexpectedly killing only a few hundred people, but also stopping production of the Asteroid Repeller. Politcians say "Oh my god, that's freaking hilarious. Also, we're sorry for their losses. Vote for us!"
2130: Earth is now more or less normal. Due to the climate change, cities have an atmosphere changing dome hovering over their heads. Cyborgs serve as slaves in both Mars and Earth. Manufacturers say 'there's no chance of them turning evil and killing everyone they see'
2131: Cyborgs turn evil and kill everyone they see
2131, Wendies 18th: MEMP's are developed. The Massive Electro Magnetic Pulses knocks out all energy in a solar system for a while. The cyborgs are stopped. Or are they? Yes, they are.
2180: Humans start having strange slouches. Religion is still being preached, and beliefs are mainly the same as they were 180 years ago. Antarctica and Australia now do not exist.
2180-2399: Golden Age for economics. No wars, huge advancements of technology, enabling light-speed allows colonization of the entire solar system. People start unraveling the mysteries of the universe. No aliens encountered yet, though in the soil of mars a type of worm is found. Life on other planets means there probably are aliens out there somewhere. Human life span is now on average 130 years for males, 133 for females. Humans heads get unnoticeably larger. People on mars start looking a bit different from those on earth. Without Asteroid repellent, Jupiter get hit hard, right as "The Big Eye' hurricane crashes into a few cities. Jupiter is devastated, with over 300 Million killed. Memorial is created.
2400: The Confederates, the main force of the Solar System, have been attacked by some rogue Saturnians. Saturnians seperate from the Confederacy, and the Confederate planets, Earth, Mars and Mercury all engage in war. This known as the First Solar War.
2450: Confederates ultimately win the war. All families who had a family member killed gets a cookie. Asteroid repellent is FINALLY created, ensuring no meaningless deaths will ensue. Humans on different planets start looking noticeably different.
Chapter 3: Terras
2600: Human population swells to about 20 Billion. Economy spirals down. Pluto is colonized, even though technically it's not a planet. Humans now live to about 200 on all confederate planets, while those that resist live to about 100. Longest lived human is 231 now.
Approx. 2700: A gun called the "BHD" is invented, destroying black holes when fired. This allows colonization of the whole galaxy. Strangely, the only life found is microscopic bugs. Artificial suns are made to heat other planets. New, strange viruses are formed, causing host to swell up, explode, and infect everyone around them with the virus as well.
2703: Work on Time Travel begins
2705: Work on Time Travel stops because of the likely hood of extreme death, and being erased from existence.
2710: A rogue planet, Alphenix Z crashes into Earth, ending all life. Politicians say "Oh, ****". 9 Billion die. Biggest one event killing in history.
2720: The planet created such a large amount of dust, nothing would be able to survive until ten thousand years into the future. Earth is forgotten.
4000: Humans aren't humans anymore. The evolution of being in different places caused the humans to morph into different things. They each have different names now. Real humans are nearly extinct now. Only the few that had built bomb shelters in earth remain. The Worldlings, as they call themselves, are the only known species. Looks like aliens never existed after all.
4383: Worldlings now live to 454 on average. When people tried to develop eternal life, everyone working on the project died. They tried this 42 times. Apparently, God doesn't like people living forever.
4400: The Confederacy pretty much rules every planet now. The irony is that every alien out there was just evolved humans
4600: The Earthlings rebuild with gas masks they found. A small village called Poxnora is formed. The primitive earthlings have no idea about the advanced aliens outside their world.
10 000: Too much went on over the past 5000 years to explain, so I won't. Earthlings are extinct, and instead have branched off into two sub-species: Ginko's and Bulba's. The Ginko's hunt and kill the Bulba's, while the Bulba's mainly hang around the ancient ruins of Poxnora. The Bulba's eat fruit off tree's. They are the only two species left on earth, and are pretty much animals.
20 000: Again, a lot happened, mainly not worth mentioning. Sentient creatures are formed on earth. They make tribes, learn about past mistakes, hunt Ginko's and the Sub-Sub- Species of the Humans. The Sentients name themselves Terras, and create light travel to go explore Mars. They realize it's already populated by Martians. Hilarity ensues as the Terras annihilate the Martians. Youch.
Chapter 4: Far Future
20 000-20 500: The Terras whoop the Confederacy. The Confederacy is peeved off and sends many forces to destroy the Terras, but something about being from earth lets them have psionic powers, allowing them to take over most of the universe. The confederacy is destroyed, and almost all of their 10 Billion Warriors have retreted, died or surrendered. People don't really care, as the Terras rule just requires themselves to call them Terras.
22 000: Oh my gawd, people find out there's a Multiverse. Efforts to get into the other universe are futile. Thousands of speculations are thrown in there. Most Worldlings are distinctly different, with over 1000 religions (although they're really the exact same thing when you get down to that), and the longest lived Worldling is 632, and the average age is 576.
23 000: It took two generations, but people now have multi-universal travel. Turns out, THERE'S ACTUAL ALIENS IN THE MULTIVERSE! Everyone parties because they can actually see new life forms. Of course, to everybody else they're aliens, but no new speices have been discovered for thousands of years.
23 040: The aliens weren't friendly and launched a 40 year war against the Terras. The Terras eventually won. Gee, that's a shocker.
100 000: Terras are pretty much gods. They have the ability to utilise the energies of stars to lose their bodies, become ghosts, etc. This was known as the age of particlization.
200 000: Terras are pretty much bored. All Terras live to 5000, and they've explored about everything there is.
300 000: Terras are pretty much boned. Terra population overflows with over 400 Trillion Terras. Every planet is occupied and full, even in the other universes, and thousands are being born every millasecond, compared to hundreds dying every millasecond. The Terra government is worried. Hyper Advanced Super-Politicians say 'Oh noes, we're all going to die! I mean, everything's under control, don't worry about it.
310 000-450 000: Dark. Ages. Things spiral out of control. Having the power of a god, doesn't make you a god apparently. Worlds collapse due to overpopulation, people forget how to colonize and travel between universes. Bulbas become extinct, due to excessive demand, entire solar systems are destroyed in riots, and SMEMPS (Super Massive) are dropped on galaxies, knocking out their power, war begins between everyone, starting the fist Universal War. 400 Trillion Terras are reduced to 317 Trillion. This is the biggest loss of life ever recorded. Most previous records are lost, and millions more die due to poverty and not knowing how to fend for themselves.
Chapter 5: The new age and Far Far Future
500 000, X1: A new order is created out of the rubbles called the Phoenix. The Phoenix, a group of Andromedian Terras rediscover how life was thousands of years ago. The Terra's life span is now 240, while the aliens of the other universe live to about 1000 years. A new timeline is used called the X system, starting with X1, the X standing for after a catastrophe. Terras eventually regroup until a census reveals there is still 200 Trillion living Terrans. In order to avoid what happened again, things called Poly-Ticians are created by the Pheonix to store food and create planets. Eventually life returns to many planets. Life spans for Terras sky rocket to 2000. The X is changed by 10 years in our time, so 500 010 would be X2, and the year 600 000 would be X10 000, due to increase of life spans. Scientific names since humans:
Homo Sapien Sapien (human), Homo Sapien Sapien Sapien (Confederate), Homo-Reseblence Sentient (Terra), Resemb Sentient Sapience (New Terra)
550 000, X5 000: 5000 X years have passed since the catastrophe, and over the generations recolonization have created life for 300 Trillion Terras. Poly-Ticians are actually competent and create hundreds of planets out of asteroids. Things return to their usually norm, although it's hard to tell what normal is anymore...
1 000 000, X500 000: Wars haven't been fought in the longest time. There is only one feat New Terras can accomplish and that is time travel.
1 000 020, X500 002: Work on time travel begins. Mass protest erupts from many New Terras. Thousands fear for their existance as they attempt to experiment without destroying the timeline.
1 007 700, X500 770: SUCCESS! New Terrans go back in time and build Stone Henge. What?
1 100 000, X510 000: Turns out it's way too risky to time travel to the past, and the only way to make sure nothing bad happens is to go to the future. Xel'ne!ck+ghan-s is up for the task. Xel'ne!ck+ghan-s goes into the year 10 000 000 to explore
10 000 000, X5 000 000: There is nothing.
100 000 000: Still nothing
1 000 000 000: Nadda
2 000 000 000: Nothing
3 000 000 000: Where is everything?
4 000 000 000: No, seriously, what happened?
5 000 000 000: Earth is swallowed by the sun. Or it would be if it was still there. What happened? This is enough for Xel'ne!ck+ghan-s and s/he/it goes back home to report what he saw. Turns out the big crunch happened 10 Billion years earlier than expected. Go figure
5 839 387 446: The multiverse is done collapsing on itself. Or is it? Two things happened here: 1 time went on, even though everything was gone. 2: Remember our friend Xel'ne!ck+ghan-s and his people? Turns out they managed to escape by travelling to the beggining of time, and collanizing different planets. Some devolved into tiny bugs and hid in the soil of undeveloped planets, until they were descovered by early humans space traveling. The others became highly advanced, hiding in a different universe to avoid destroying the timeline. Is that extremely confusing? Yes, but if you think about it it makes sense. Now, for the rest of the time line:
6 000 000 000: All Matter collapses into one point. It explodes. Time resets. Big Bang. Planets and stars are formed. Things fill the void.
Life.
Goes.
On.
P.S: In 1 Billion A.D. the creation of time travel alloted the ability to look at the far future of that time, in another billion years. When they realized there was nothing they realized the big crunch must have taken place much normal than usual, the big crunch being the entire universe collapsing due to extreme size. For the inhabitants, they became aliens to us, as they traveled back in time to continue their lives in another universe and before we were even formed. Those that didn't devolved into little grubs living on mars and other uncolonized planets. For the matter, even though there was never any people there, the universe collapsed into itself. With all that matter in one place, the big bang happened, again and time started anew. That's just technical, you don't need to know that to enjoy this.
And that's it! Hoped you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. So basically I'm asking you to suffer. Thanks for reading and comment!

Ha, maybe. It would make a good novel, but the problem I have is that you would have to get attached to characters, then they'd die, then in the new age that would happen all over again. Also it would be painful for me to do that. But who knows, maybe I will. Thanks!

I like the politicians xD "Who cares, we'll fix it later."
And the many apocalypse theroys.
Reminds me of a strange 'story' like this I wrote xD
"As far as we're concerned, the world was created when god was drunk."

Nothing bad will happen in 2012. Well, y'know, except this:
But hey, these things happen.

Yeah, I tried something like this (Time Travel RPG Demo) but didn't get very far. Maybe you'd like to continue it, I just stopped. My mom says I have to bring my people to life, but I can't because everybody dies next time line. Maybe having to manage cities and planets, but that would only work on flash and probably not scratch.
