I'm creating a new project based on Pac-Man (again): Professor Pac-Man. However, it's sound system is stereo. When I import one of its sounds (which I recorded from MAME using "mame64.exe profpac -writewav profpac.wav"), the sound is beepy, jumbled and echo-y\hollow. I caught Scratch saying "Converting GameOver.wav to mono..." while importing, and it's completely ruined the audio. How do I fix it?

EDIT: In my audio players, the sound is fine and not distorted.

You can try converting it to another format, and it might make it import normally, but it'll always be converted to mono first. Sorry.
Hopefully Scratch 2.0 will fix both problems.

.wav files always import oddly... Try using a program such as Audacity to export it to and MP3, which should import fine.
I opened it up in Audacity and found the root of my roblem: the left audio channel is completely different than the right channel. When converted to mono, these tracks get smashed together and make it sound like my audio card is throwing up.
So I completely shut up the left audio track, split it and set it to mono. The audio is perfect now and Audacity even mega-shrunk it for me!
