I noticed a bit of misquoting (which I removed). Remember that misquoting is against the Guidlelines to the Miscellaneous forums, and can also be considered a sign of disrespect, which is against the Terms of Use.

Maybe Nintendo is nice and Namco is mean.
Just because they tried to make the website legal doesn't mean they're mean.

I think it's more of an issue that Nintendo recognizes Fair Use laws whereas Namco disregards them.

Yeah that's more like it.

Signing. What was the point of deleting the project anyway? There are loads of Pacman clones around for sure, people pirating the original ROMs and the Scratch project probably wasn't even similar to Namco's original.

Even though i agree, why be so serious about this? The Pac-Man project is probably gone forever as Namco would want that project to be deleted, so there's no way to get it back online.
BTW Namco has no right to give a notice to the maker, Namco graphics and sounds are NOT to be used for commercial products.

The project creator could always upload the project again.
The more serious part is that fact that Namco threatened the Scratch administrators to take the project down, so re-uploading again brings in the risk that Namco could again infringe on Fair Use law. Basically, the whole point of this petition is to get the project back online safely without Fair Use being threatened.

Anyways, when are we planning on showing this petition to Namco?
