I UN-SUPPORT!!!! Who ever said Namco's evil? You know, if they somehow get to where you live, they would sue you, and you'd regret everything bad you ever said about Namco. Namco's just trying to help you obey the law. That's completly fair.

Well, everyone has their own opinions so goodbye! In the meantime, us supporters will pwn Namco so much, they won't know what hit them.

Actually, re-reading cheddargirl's post, I'm kinda neutral, in the fact that you completley ignored my reply to her post(the one with the free pac-man rom), and I think she's right, but you, you just said people can have their opinions, then said "goodbye". How hypocritical(note that I'm not mad at all, but if a flame war starts, I'll take responsibity for it). But anyway, even though 124scratch isn't making money off of this, it's still un-lawful.

The un-lawful part is rather a question of debate. I believe Locomule said it best:
It is about whether Namco violated our Fair Use rights by demanding the project to be removed on the grounds that they are losing profits due to people playing it. [Speaking of which, I really would like to see Namco Bandai actually show proof of that].

Most of use believe the project is covered by the Fair Use clause and that Namco Bandai was being unfair for wanting the project to be taken down. I think it's worth reading Locomule's post again regarding the issue because it is well written and points out a lot of things regarding the issue quite nicely.  smile

Doesn't Pac-Man cost money? If this guy created a replica of it for free, it's definatley illegal, right?

Being that Scratch is for educational purposes, most believe that the Pac-Man project on Scratch (as well as other game copies on Scratch) are protected via the Fair Use clause.

WHY UPLOAD IT!?

By sharing projects online, you give the opportunity to have others learn from your programming.

Exactly! Most of my VB6 learning came from looking at and borrowing code from another application's source code.
