I think it should be closed temporarily, as DaGamez suggested.

Why? You don't post in any other forums anyway, why party?

I don't like it. People misuse it to the EXTREME.

Meh?

I don't post the freaking trends do I?

The last topic I made was 3 weeks ago, and it was about my project.

They'll always stay together. So don't talk with them...

No? ('Cause we're all the same person, yay.)

Things have been getting pretty rowdy in here recently.  Please see this post for more on the recent wave of "fad" postings.

Re: Increased 'hostility'

I don't think Misc should be closed/deleted, because it sort of lets the community discuss topics freely with each other. You get to know people better with it. I feel it helps our community be a, well, community.

Though, I think to teach us all a lesson, it should temporarily closed. (with all topics except the stickies being deleted afterwards?) Also, any fad topics should be deleted as soon as they pop up for spam, and a warning to the user should be sent.

Maybe get some more forum mods to help out?

As far as post counts are consirned, I don't think they should be hidden or anything. Maybe the scratch team could make it only posts in other forums (not the miscellaneous one) count towards a user's post count?

Just throwing some ideas out there. Do what you want with them  smile

Yeah - it helps you make friends sometimes...

The lesson would probably work.  neutral  As for the afterward suggestions, are they partly in effect already? :S

That would be cool - but that won't stop the fads if they weren't done for a high post count.  tongue

Re: Increased 'hostility'

It seems to me that most of the fads are appearing from a small group of users. I won't mention any names though.

It's just that there's been a lot of waves of spam topics inspired by fads around here. Also there's Quitting Drama and some things like that. By the way, welcome back Musicstar  big_smile
