so here's some things that i think would be very beneficial if changed on the website.
basically, this moves the authors area so that it is to the right of the game, it also allows more space to add other authors, here's an example of what it could look like.
and of course you need a way to add more authors, so here's what would appear before posting.
so i hope you take this idea into consideration when considering website improvements, this would help with collaborations greatly too!

That's a great idea! I'm looking into making a collaborating website (ScratchLabs) which probably won't be up in the near future but will allow for some much better collaboration options. Of course, you won't be able to upload with more than one author (that's up to the Scratch Team) - a great idea - but for now, you'll have to do with what we have.

yah, let's hope they'll choose to use it though

Great idea! I think I added a vote for it on Scratch Suggestions. This is sort of like how Newgrounds credits collaborators, am I correct?

thanks, yah fg123 that's a good idea, I just wasn't sure whether or not it could check users online until you hit submit, and yes FMT, i thought that scratch could use a similar system.

So maybe under each project link, it should say "Solo Project" or "Collaborative Effort"?

I would like to add something: in "Other authors" you can write: "user1(Designer), user2(Music creation), user3(Help for the scripts)" and on the website you can see:
user1
Designer
user2
Music creation
user3
Help for the scripts
Or something like that.

Nice idea! This makes the collaboration a lot more apparent, and it shows who you collaborated with. One thing that could be a small issue, is that anyone has the ability to add an 'other author', even if they weren't collaborating. This could possibly start some "heat" within the scratch community. Any ideas of how to verify the collaboration?

I don't think it's possible. If a friend come to my house and help me for a project, how Scratch can know it?
Maybe a sign with the name of the creator in each script, each costume and each sound. But it would work only for the online collaborations.

well i think that it could be easily taken care of, if the project is posted a user could get a message saying that they were credited as an author, it would ask something like, are you the co-author of this project? and they could choose yes or no.
they of course wouldn't be credited until they accepted.

I don't really care either way who gets to upload if it's a collaboration project, but I noticed something odd in that screenshot you made. I guess the only thing you edited was the side of the screen. Let's see how many other people can spot it

This can be abused...

What do you mean? Like if 50 people collaborated in one project? Make it have a maximum of 6 then. That's a reasonable number.
