Edit -> Set Single Stepping... -> Turbo speed.
You might find that it's a little unreliable though - sometimes it skips over chunks of blocks.

Not that I know of - if it doesn't work without starting single stepping, just start single stepping.

Turbo speed is a mode that makes scratch projects a whole load faster however is known to glitch up and skip blocks.
You can access it by going through:
Edit > Set Single Stepping > Turbo speed.
You do not need to turn it on, and in most cases it is best not to, but for certain projects it may be that it is a good idea to turn it on and make it run a load faster.
This should of probably of been posted in al about scratch as it is not really advanced, but its been solved now anyway.

I never knew about this. I had always thought when someone puts "run in turbo speed" in the project notes, they meant to change a variable or something.

You can also download Slash, which has blocks to control turbo mode.

I already have slash. I don't really like it though, the colors are weird and some of the blocks I wouldn't need to use. The online version is awesome though! BTW, it is against the source code TOS to make a mod that can share to the scratch website, i.e, slash.
