Quick Suggestion: General Chat
We can post suggestions for the website, right? This one's for the forum.
There's a lot of categories out there, but I don't see a single one where Scratchers can get together, share ideas, talk about common interests, inspire each other, etcetera...
So, my suggestion is: Add a category for general Scratch talk.

A general chat would be a good idea, just as long as the thread's not used as a chat room. I want to make a thread about YouTube poop, but its got nothing to do with scratch.

I don't think that the Scratch team wants their forum over-run with kids chatting about stuff other than Scratch. There are other sites for that, but this is about the only one for scratch.

Everybody needs to remember: Scratch is Scratch, Myspace is Myspace (or whatever site you chat on). If they decide to add one I think it should be just one thread... until you realize that a chat just wouldn't work well for scratch.

You know what, I change my mind, this forum SHOULD be made because right now the general chat is going on in the Show and Tell forum... which is meant for advertising your projects, not posting "WHATS YOUR FAVORITE SONG" and then putting "tell me your favorite song and i might make a game or a project of some kind with the song u picked"
that's from a real post.
It's really starting to bug me how people misuse the forum, or at least the Show and Tell section.

If you want more posts, trust me there are many to be found. SOme of these don't belong in the SHow and Tell, some don't belong on scratch at all.
If these posts ARE what the Show and Tell forum is for, then I'll go ahead and say I'm wrong and a General or *lightbulb flashes on* Opinions (to narrow it down) forum isn't needed... But if those posts are NOT what the forum is for then the Opinions forum would be a good addition IMO
