Scratch and WeDo: Is there a way to use a Lego WeDo Motor as a sensor?

Scratch and WeDo

I am new to the scratch software and I have a quick question for the scratch community.
I know that Scratch can use a WeDo sensors. I.E Tilt, and motion to trigger an action or control a sprites movement within Scratch.   My question is this.  Is there a way to use a Lego WeDo Motor as a sensor?
What I mean, can a motor be used as a steering wheel, to control the orientation / direction of a sprite?
Example a car game like Pole Position?

Thank you for your help in advanced.

Very interesting question.
It is possible but you need to analyze the pin connection and signal of WeDo connector and make additional circuit.
WeDo connector has four pins. I call them as 1, 2, 3, 4 from left to right. I found pin 2 and 3 are used for motor output. I guess pin 1 and 4 are used for sensor input. In this case you use a motor as a generator. Do not forget it outputs positive or negative voltage by rotate direction.
Good luck!
