Re: Team England Scratch summer olympics - The team is full!

I have absolutely no idea, but don't make it too difficult because I don't think i'll be able to do most things.

Wolfie, I just saw the flag thing you put up. All I can say is, COOOOOL!!!!!
Sorry, just had to say that.

And Sperry, I don't think we should do an art project.

Re: Team England Scratch summer olympics - The team is full!

I'd say a 1s1s-er of some kind, but I don't see how we could make it as a team...  tongue

Perhaps if we make one large game, with two smaller projects on the side... Simplicity is sometimes the best for the smaller ones...

I know! If anyone else likes making 1s1s-ers, we could make a mini-games bucket as a side project! I could probably make a couple of small games to contribute to it...

As for the big project... reading through the MC page, I don't really get it...  hmm  I get that it's a strategy game, but I don't understand the objective of the missions...  hmm

It looks complex, but if we were to make it 2D (face down-scroll or side-scroll, I'm not sure which would be best), it might work... We'd have to shorten the amount of missions quite a lot, though (a little underhalf the missions? That would give us 15 missions to create...)

You have to use your tanks and helis to wipe out the other team, and you continue until you wipe out the other team/s or you get wiped out.

I love AI programming!

If you need a very long description of the working of the game, just ask!

I'm terrible at AI, but willing to help with anything else in the game  smile  I'll get to work on some 1s1sers for the bucket, and give you a link to them somewhere...  big_smile

Yeah, tis a good idea.
This team seems to be doing everything without Toasty. He's gonna have a lot of catching up to do.

Re: Team England Scratch summer olympics - The team is full!

Right, so here is how our Modern Conflict will go:

Re-Name: The Assasiation Division

Story: Your country (England of course!  tongue  ) is being invaded by the rest of Europe and you must protest and fight for your country, destroying all the enemies.

How the game works:

You have a base, and sometimes extra places, as does thre enemy. Sometimes there will be more than one enemy, or the have more bases/places than you.

You must take over the neutral bases around the map and then wipe out all the oppenent/s bases. Sometime the enemy get renforcements, as do you.

To take over a base, you must have the amount of people in that base, plus at least one more to be able to take over it. Otherwise, you just take that number of people you had, away from them.

There are two major types of base, tank (hexagon) and helicopter (circle). If you use the opposite on another base, you only do half the damage.

Base types:
Small - Can spawn up to 10 troops, but you can put more in.
Medium - Can spawn up to 20 troops, but you can put more in.
Large - Can spawn up to 40 troops, but you can put more in.
Extra Large - Can spawn up to 50 troops, but you can put more in.

Fortifications
None - None extra
Light - +5 spawing limit, double damage when attacked
Medium - +10 spawing limit, triple damage when attacked
Heavy - +15 spawing limit, quadruple damage when attacked

There will be about 10 Missions, depending how we do.

@Sperry: I set to work on the 1s1sers... I have one complete one. To keep it secret from the other teams, I'll post it on a different account, and contact you via an old comment of yours  smile

Okay, like me to make any 1s1s'?
If so, what should I make?

Whatever you feel like  wink . I sent you the link, but it may take a couple of minutes to get to you.

Also working on a simple 1s1s platformer  smile

Make all (if any) variables local - it'll make it easier when we join them into a library.  big_smile

How many 1s1s do you think we should aim to put in?
