Call me a n00b but I want to use my own images that I made on forums, and not the ones used from a website url, do I have to upload the image online to do that. I know this post might be off topic but I had no option to make a new forum topic on the FAQ section.

I think you do need to upload them to Photobucket or Tinypic or something like that.

You can't make new topics in FAQ - the moderators and Scratch team just move topics there if they're helpful.
On-topic - try http://tinypic.com/ - you don't need an account, it's completely free, and insanely easy. Then just copy & paste the bottom URL and you're good to go after putting it in the [img] tags.
If you still need any more help, Coka has a great topic on the subject in the FAQ forum

If you want to use your own image in a forum post, first you have to upload it to somewhere such as Photobucket or Tinypic
There's a guide by Coka here which might help

To post your own images, go to a site like Photobucket, Tinypic, or Imagechicken. They'll give you instructions to upload your picture. Then, the site will give you a few URLs. Click on the one that says "For Forums" or something like that.

Actually, I find TinyPic to be a lot better. While it is a division of Imageshack there's no registration required and the only thing you have to fill out is a "Captcha" spam prevention form, and what your file is. It's quite and easy
