Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

no problem  big_smile  I hope this becomes the top resource for block code. If it gets too big I might branch it out into a website so that people can catagorically search blocks and I really hope this gets stickied as block code is much sought after at the moment.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

Hey, that would be really cool!

This... must... get... ITopic'd!  big_smile  It's a nice reference topic, and this is the type of thing that will be helpful to many Scratchers. I recommended your topic (a few days ago, actually)!  wink

You should put the Panther blocks into the library.  smile

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

Wow! I like to hack Scratch.  tongue  I made a "Scratch is the best!" block. It's a forever block though. If we get collapsobale scripts, we can remake a comment block! (A repeat 0 block and a text inserter block, shown as a comment block and a block with a textfield.)

bye 1.4, we all loved you. but we all outgrew the site. 2.0 is a welcome change.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

I hope I live to see collapsable scripts. They would save a lot of space and make scrolling the scripting area in large projects easier.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

It does indeed exist, I would love it in Panther or Scratch or both  tongue

You're not quite correct, I could die at any moment, all of us could... depressing as it sounds... it's just highly unlikely. The chances of me dying have been dramatically reduced ever since I stopped licking power sockets...  big_smile

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

to true sparks, i was unfortunately reminded this summer of the mortality of human beings

but enough about that, i hope to add collapsible scripts to my scratch mod as well, though i'm not that good with squeak yet.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

I look forward to seeing your mod, PlayWithFire, you seem to be a pretty focused guy! try and think of something new to make your mod special and different, otherwise it will be buried under all the others  tongue

Well done on the power socket thing (Did you reall do that?)
I quote Jens on the Collapsable Scripts thread:

Hi, modders

two years ago I experimented with collapsable scripts. Please feel free to canibalize my collapsable scripts changeset and my readme.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

i wish i was a little more focused XD, i make myself lists so that i get things done, i do it in order and don't let myself get distracted by the amount of ideas i have floating in my head, believe me i get way to many to handle XD.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

I have the same problem  tongue

mp, what do you think?  tongue  of course not! haha, my Electronics hobby has caused me to experiment with higher voltages though. I think that the worst shock I have ever had was about 100V from a handheld TV, I got my finger wedged inside the plastic case while taking it apart and the capacator gave me a constant shock for about 10 seconds before I could pull it out  tongue

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

i made a left, right, and middle mouse click in swipe  smile

now i'm going to use jens code to make collapsible scripts, and i will experiment with making it automatically use the clean up function when scripts are expanded and collapsed.

There already is a swipe topic... (Ontopic) Why don't you add some of the blocks in blockshop to the list?

I second that.

Hm... I'm very close to adding that to the ITopic. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I'll consider some more, and maybe I'll add it as an ITopic sometime tomorrow or so - the Scratch Team has given me the go-ahead.
