Scratch

The Panther thread?

It has more posts than even the BYOB sticky.

I would like to see an official block library sticky to replace the many ones that have arisen and haven't been greatly conrtibuted to. I thinking it will be a great way for people to learn about block code, and share their block ideas. It would cater for all the current mods out there. I think if it is sticked, people will be more likely to share it, and people could also suggest code they want made?

I know the thread is by me, but if people think it's good enough, you might like to consider stickying my block library thread.

I recommend spark's block library. It contains code for making blocks by editing Scratch, building blocks in BYOB, and creating blocks in Panther. This is a very good resource - please add it!

Hm... I'm very close to adding that to the ITopic. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I'll consider some more, and maybe I'll add it as an ITopic sometime tomorrow or so - the Scratch Team has given me the go-ahead.

i found no threads that really took on this topic as this focuses more on squeak than on basic codes such as mesh enabling or simple block codes. this means that scratchers are then almost 'auto-sufficient' and can take on a modding project with more experience. it povides us with better quality mods.

That's a good point, too. We definitely need a good squeak tutorial here. We'll consider that, as well as the block library. They sort of go hand in hand with eachother, no?

they do definitely. except maybe the block library has more BYOB blocks than squeak 

That's because everyone can make BYOB blocks, while not everyone knows Squeak.

I don't think that should be stickied.

I'm just bringing up sparks's block library - a while ago it was said that it needed more blocks. Well, there are tons of them now! Please consider it for ITopic'ing. It's so useful!
