Pinball help

I'm not sure if this is advanced or not, but I'm trying to make a project that's like a remix of windows' 3D space pinball on scratch, and i'm having trouble with the general physics of the ball.

What variables would I need to use, for example: xMomentum, yMomentum and/or speed..?

And how would I need to apply them to the scripts in order to make the ball: Launch at the beginning of the game; bounce off of targets such as the attack bumpers, drop flags, and paddles; roll off of certain areas, such as the launch ramp; and move in general caused by the gravity and momentum?

I tried figuring it out myself... but i've never taken a class in physics, and I won't be until next year :x it'd be very appreciated if someone could help, i'll give you credit when the game's finally finished

    thanks  big_smile

Re: Pinball help

I've got a somewhat flawed pinball base project that you can look at...maybe it will give you some ideas at least

Yeah, I think this would qualify as advanced...

welcome to scratch, olliemonstor, this thread is a coupe of years old now(hasn't been replied to since 2010) this is what's known as necroposting by the scratch community if you want to know how to do this, please make a new topic in help with scripts, Thanks!

That's a good base project to learn from.

In fact, that is the project I based my Alien Pinball project on.

You can play my game here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/BoltBait/687332 or click the pinball picture in my signature below.
