When is the offcial scratch 2.0 release date!?!

When will scratch 2.0 come out, I Knew about it for a long time but I never heard about when its coming out. So if you can, Try to guess or tell me about when it's coming out.  hmm

As far as I know, there has been no official release date. I heard it is supposed to be around early or mid 2011.

For now you can read the Scratch Wiki article on Scratch 2.0 here.  smile

If you don't want to read it all, here's a summary:

•The website's layout will be changed along with the new release
•Users will be able to program and remix online
•There is currently no beta version, but an announcement will be made if there is one.
•The release date hints at 2011

Yep, the above users got it right - from what I know, they've said it'll definitely not be in 2010, but probably in early 2011.

From what I've heard, Scratch 2 will be based on Flash, rather than javascript.

Flash programs are built with Actionscript, which is a variant of Javascript.
