Dummy Users!

Is anyone else being plagued by users adding you as a friend without any projects or faves? It seems that someone or a group of people are creating accounts and trying to get as many friends as possible!

I get a request, and by the time a look at their page, I'm not in their 5 recent friends anymore, there are 20 before me and another 20 after! I've had about 10 of them in the last month!

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this...

(p.s. why is it that someone can have you on their friends list without being on yours? shouldn't a friend request entitle one person to request and one to accept before they appear in either person's list?)

Re: Dummy Users!

Lol, I get one of those about every other day. I usually don't add them to my friends, just glance at their profile...

Re: Dummy Users!

Lots of these people are either multi accounts (meaning that the acc. isn't their main) or forum users. It's really the focal point for most of them.

Prime example of why they should be requests not additions. No way I am letting a Justin Bieber fan advertise me as their friend.

Re: Dummy Users!

I get random friend requests rarely. But really, there's not much you can do about it. It's not like you can reject a request.

Re: Dummy Users!

Half of my messages are people adding me as a friend. I always friend them back - I think they do it to appear on your "My Friends' Latest Projects" section but I never check it  big_smile

Re: Dummy Users!

Yeah, some people tend to make a new account and randomly add you as a friend and never use that account again. I, personally think it's a waste of time. I only will add people if I actually know them.

They stalk the Scratch website and keep refreshing the website to see new users on the recently signed in list and quickly friend those people. Duh.

Yeah. I won't mention any names, but they are starting to have similar user titles.

That hasn't ever happened to me, but it sounds like it's really annoying.
