A scratch user sent me a link, I clicked on it (because it said it was a link to a youtube video, it even said youtube.com/whateverthissaid), and I got into an inappropriate site, couldn't quit safai nor turn my computer off, etc.. I had to take out my energy, so in many hours it would get out of battery, and finally turn off.

TIPS:

-Never trust someone named (your username here)iscool
-Never press a link unless it's someone who wouldn't ever want to get banned.
-Contact the Scratch Team about anything suspicious. This got me suspicious, but I didn't follow my incstint.

So, I'm not accepting any more notifications from projects. I'm never pressing another link, unless it's on the forums, so I can quote and see the site's name.

I'm pretty mad. REALLY mad. I almost lost an expensive computer because of this.

That site does not "destroy your computer". All you need to do is turn your computer off or force close the process

Please don't talk about that site, well, I mean don't mention it. Quoting people makes you see the link. It is not a kid friendly site- a very bad site. It is meant to be a spam website and it installs viruses on your computer.

Who cares whether someone curses or not in a chat completely outside of Scratch?

As long as they don't do it on Scratch itself, there isn't a problem. It's up to his discretion as owner of the chat, and he doesn't necessarily have to follow the rules set in place by the moderators here.
