Question about signatures

i am using the image tag to create this image
http://www.math.sc.edu/CarolinaMasterScholar/2009/images/Diamond.jpg
but it just tells me that my sig can't exceed 400 characters. does that mean the image tag isn't working or that bbc code is included in the sig character count?

Re: Question about signatures

BBCode is included in signature character count - I took a look at your signature, and you currently have 387 characters (including BBCode), so you might want to try trimming some of your signature out (eg, using fewer text colours, removing extra spaces, et cetera) Also, you could try shortening the image url, but I forgot how to do that >.<

Most have a 150 picture and words underneath, so that's almost everybody

Well, the images themself won't get past the system if they're 150 pixels high or more. However, 150px images, with lines of text underneath will get past fine.

If that's the case, the Rainbow bit is probably taking up a lot of it - if I were you I'd use an image instead of the colored text...

Re: Question about signatures

Use j.mp. It provides the shortest urls I know.

Ditto on the Rainbow bit...

The forum resizes them to meet that limit  wink

You could also try tinyurl-ing the existing links in your signature  smile

Re: Question about signatures

i think tiny.cc is the best for shortening the URLs. if you make an account, you can manage them later on too.  smile

Re: Question about signatures

It is probably because the image is far to big. I mean, who has a signature THAT big?
