Honestly, that's not a big project, it's more of a small quick project.

This is a project from somebody who realeases one a day here.
I would say 30 minutes worth. Maybe an extra 10 if she drew all the costumes.

No matter who it's from, less than 2 hours of work isn't big...

That's to you then. Less than 2 hours isn't big.
But to spaghetticat, 30-50 minuites may be big.
We have differnt opinions.

No, in general when it comes to programming, 30-50 minutes is nowhere near big.

Yeah I know, but my point is, when we said "big" to speghetticat, 30-50 minutes to her was big. So I think she needs to get the biggar picture before she can go anywhere near famous.... hang on... I'm not famous.... oh well.

Well, I usually advertise a upcoming project, and make everyone wait for it. Then. I never upload it. After a while, people start commenting on my latest project asking where it is? And I wait even more. Then suddently, I upload it.
You'd be suprised it works.

Worked for me ^^ Although, I uploaded SFT5 before SFT4... so people have been trying to guess why I did that. SFT4 is as unfinished now as it was a month ago...

If you're going in with that attitude, you're definitely not on the right track. I'd not consider myself famous, just known. I should post a guide in New Scratch Members!
~ How to be Famous- A Practical Scratcher's Guide ~
Step 0.5: Knowing the History of Famous
2007
Back in '07(I was there) the main way to be famous was to just make good projects. Many of the Scratchers who you think about today could be '07ers. They are dedicated and hard-working, just like they were back in '07. I got a project featured, it got 40 views, and got taken off the front page. I was happy, I made a good project.
2008
In 2008 Scratch really started to be a social networking site. People were committed in programming in early 2008, but then it disappeared. Because it was more popular, obviously the quality of Scratch projects went down. In 2007, I knew pretty much everyone still active, and in 2008 it was done. Several people said they were quitting and returned, made scribbles, or even worse. They got famous.
2009
At least in 2008 there were some publicity stunts on Scratch. In 2009, they started on the forums. People started posting wrong things on certain places, and there Inspiration and More was born. The TBG was born as well, and I am sad to say, but now more than 2/3rds of Scratchers join to TBG, forums, or RPG.
2010
This year was the tipping point. Scratch got so highly ranked on search engines like Google and Bing that more commercial spammers appeared on the site. Some mods say there is one a day! Then, in recent history, trolls appeared with inappropriate content. Many famous and well-minded people got banned for flame wars, and turned infamous.
Now, the main idea of being famous is just luck. Most people from '07 are not famous anymore, because actually good projects no longer appear on the front page.

I think more than that... I once found 6 in a day!
But the average was about 1.5 a while ago.

It's not exactly a metaphor.

Tip that should work:
Tag your projects with ones that describe the project.

Well I tag comment have plenty o friends and advertise on my sigge and show and tell.Im wondering how you become famous because for examlple when swifty became famous it seemed to happen overnight and same with maho ashley and maki-tak...>.> any suggestions?
First off, I seriously don't know who told you that maki-tak and maho became famous overnight. Maho was definitely over time, and maki-tak was a bit quicker. As for swifty, I don't even know who that is, and I've been on this site since 07 (on infinex).
Whoever said that being famous takes luck more than skill is [mostly] right. I say mostly because if you are REALLY good at drawing, or programming, and make a great project, you will most likely become famous. *cough* Archmage *cough*
Being famous isn't all it's cracked up to be. I've never been famous, but I've gotten frontpage a few times, and it actually gets pretty annoying (for me at least).
And Whiz, I'm still on
. I'll probably be back off for 180 days during 9th grade.
