I dunno. I've been on here for 2 years, and a lot of users have heard of me, but I'm not famous.

This community is full of bias - There's a shocker. I think it relies more on luck than skill to become famous.

Swifty2 and MahoAshley. Both make animations in their projects. Swifty isn't [removed by FMT because he's afraid of getting banned again]

Yeah i noticed that

Back when I joined it was based on skill and how good your projects were programming-wise.

Now...it just seems to be based on how many friends you have and how pretty your projects look, I guess (and with some famous Scratchers they don't even look pretty). And luck, of course.

I have seen many projects from many famous people (explodingcheez, o8jackt, etc.) on the front page as most viewed, most loved, most remixed.  There is usually at least one of them on the front page!  I'm not famous, but I would love to be.

I think being famous is luck. I've been featured twice and I still don't know if I'm even well known or famous for that matter.

A lot of the active Scratchers are well known anyway, whether or not they make the best projects  .

But I think if you go looking for Scratch Fame and ask everybody to like you, it doesn't really seem to work as much.

I don't really consider myself that famous on here anyway x)

Here's what worked for me:

Make half decent projects REGULARLY. Upload and get front paged and then while that project is front paged, upload another project so that people will notice that too. Keep repeating the process until it doesn't matter how active you are, you can keep gettin' a tone of views.

But really, there's no short cut. I've been here since 2007, and only just started getting recognised in late 2009. But I never complained, while you're complaining now after 3 months.

here is what worked for me Even though i was like a shooting star lol i just blinked and fuseddddd off due to my randomness and busynessss .. btw i support 08Jackt and Rhys posts..


Create a Project thats totally Different from the other projects .. with a good theme ..
do the experimentation with the code to get Jaw Dropped comments and btw work hard to get to the top cuz the tops toooooooooooooooooooooooooo pointed and only some can stand there so in order to get there u needa push some1 off there ...







btw dont push any scratchlord physically if u see em for real (XD)

It makes me so mad cause there are so many great scratchers iut there who never get recognized
