Also, for the <!DOCTPYE > block, it wouldn't be perfect since this is HTML5's doctype :
Code:
<!DOCTPYE html>
Yes, however HTML5 is not a W3C recommendation yet. I am sticking to what is until HTML5 is accepted, as it could, at this point, still change.
However when it is I will certainly try to incorporate this.

This would be a great intro to HTML for anyone who was new (to HTML). I support 100%!
I never thought of it that way, It would be a great way!
You could do something like:
HTML mode - (The screenshot)
HTMLB (HTML Basic) mode - For example, [br] would be [return] or [enter].
That would actually be very easy to implement with languages. Since HTML is only supported in English, I could bring in different 'flavours' of HTML!

Yeah, I was thinking that there could be PHP, CSS, JavaScript, etc. blocks. Or someone else could create them...

so that's why CSS always acts weird when I type colour.
because you type it the non-american way?
Canada ( And perhaps Britain, and other countries. ) use the british spellings, e.g. metre, centre, colour, defence, etc. As opposed to the american english of "color" "meter" "center"

While we're talking about it, really?
The only ones that look better are humour (humor) theatre (theater) and centre (center)

They all look better.
But HTML is american, and there's nothing you can do about that.

No. The tags are american english. It is not american. It's invented by a british guy. (Tim Berners-Lee)

One thing I'm wondering about is, if the program does eventually end up displaying the webpage, how will it display images?
Maybe a place holder insted of the image?

Ah... OK, that would work.
Unless theres a hidden thing in squeak that lets you download images... and that'd be just plain cool.
