I sent a reply back:

Dear MIT,
That won't work. EXEs mean virues in my area. Are you sure there's no secondary uploader for dial-up users?

I hope this can be fixed soon.

Whenever I can get a laptop, I'll also have high-speed WiFi and will attempt to upload there...but that won't happen for a long time or so.

How did it work?
That's amazing!
Try uploading another project, will it work again? Hopefully it wasn't just a random flaw that it got uploaded, but now hopefully it will work better in the future!

Uploading other projects was a major failure. It appears to only upload projects less than 100 KB. (The Pac-Man movie was 75 KB). Either that or I was lucky to send it while wearing my favorite Pac-Man hat!

Right now I'm making a Windows XP simulator. So far, I've got to the desktop icons and Welcome screen. As for my Windows 98 simulator, it needs cleaning up.

Cool! I can't wait to see them, if they can be uploaded.

By the looks of things, 100 KB is the upload limit for dial-up, so it kind of sounds like a fat chance...but really, if you looked at the welcome screen of the XP simulator, you'd probably think it really is Windows XP. That's how realistic it looks. That's because I use real screenshots of Windows XP. Windows 98 Simulator uses hundreds of thousands of broadcasts, but XP simulator and others from now on use varibles to call an event. Still, XP still has broadcasts to use Windows Explorer and other programs, whenever I get to them.......
And one small question, do you have a PC Speaker? It's that thing that beeps at bootup on some CPUs.

Sweet! I found this program that lets you play music through the PC Speaker. The site that hosts it is usually down 90% of the time so if you want it I can send an exe installer for it. Also, read my comment I posted on my project. Look for the "secret" I mention in the latest. Try clicking everything you see in it to find it. In the meantime, I'll be programming Windows Explorer in my XP simulator, which is 1.4 MB for something that's 18% done.
Peace out,

Did some hefty work on my Windows XP simulator. Change Log:
* Bug Fix
[-] Removed feature
+ Small Addition
[+] Major Addition\Change
* Login Name would flicker after system logoff or wouldn't show
* Cancel button wouldn't show on Log Off Windows and Turn Off Computer screens.
* Shutdown and Logoff buttons were unable to complete the request to other sprites that the Window Station was shutting down or logging off a user. (varible bug)
* Random elements would appear on POST screen
+ Windows Explorer buttons
[+] Standby\Hibernate, Shutdown, Restart, Switch Users and Log Off added
[+] Welcome Screen additions and improvements
* Start Menu items flicker at random
+ Desktop items now disappear during shutdown
* A glitch with varibles caused the logon simulator to loop endlessly after loading the desktop icons.
* Another varible glitch caused the system shutdown script to load seconds after the POST screen showed (POST only appears when the green flag is clicked) and would loop until the Stop All block was reached.
[+] Added comments and instructions to script for those who want to make other computer simulators.
[-] Removed some varible references that caused conflicts with other sprites.
+ Desktop Icons open Windows Explorer to their locations
[-] Removed crash after 10 "restarts" in aplhas.
[+] Windows simulation relies on varibles rather than groups of broadcasts now.
* Fixed shutdown glitches where some items won't show or desktop icons won't hide.
[+] Improved simulation and design
* Fixed problem with Windows XP bootscreen's loading bar showing up at the wrong times
+ "Close Me" broadcast to close open applications
+ Added the Windows XP Tour program. Tour guide not included!
[-] Deleted useless Start Menu items.
That's not all.
Who wants to see an alpha?

I still have upload trouble but I've almost found out what's going on...
As it appears, the Scratch server only replies to projects 100 KB or less with dial-up, which means I might have to highly compress my projects for it to work, although it might ruin all my Windows simulators (especially the Windows 98 simulator).

Kesuli used Scratch 1.4 if thats what you wanted to know, and any older projects made in 1.3, 1.2, etc. will still work in Scratch 1.4 when downloaded. I can download projects with Scratch 1.4 fine. I wonder if anyone is having the same problems as you. There could be a corrupted Scratch file, maybe consider re-downloading Scratch 1.4.
It opens projects now, Vista just corrupts the files after download. Also, will Scratch 1.x files work in Scratch 2.0?

As coolstuff mentioned, the download will probably be near the size of Scratch now. Also, I was wondering how your internet works with online Flash applications. Can you run this site (http://www.designblocks.net/create) fairly fast? This might run similar to the speed of the Online version of Scratch 2.0.

See, the thing about DesignBlocks is that it a very pared down version of Scratch that you can't really do all that much with. I *think* the real Scratch 2.0 will probably we a lot heavier than that.

That's what I thought right after posting that link, but if that is troublesome for WindozeNT, then we know that his/her internet connection will probably have a very tough time with Scratch 2.0 online.

With a 28.8 KBPS mega-slow dial-up connection, this is like waiting for a 1.2 MB flash file online to load:
Chug......Chug........Chug.......Chug.........
I have a hard time even loading projects online! Thankfully, I have a program that reads HTML source and lets me download .SWF, .MP3, .WAV, .MP4, .FLV and others through my download manager. That means I can go to the online scratch page and download it! Because my dial-up connection couldn't beat a snail in a roundtrip race around a dime, it might take a week or so.
Oh yeah; bu-bu-bu-BUMP!

For the record, I'm not mad at anybody for those who think I am. I just like insulting my (slow) connection!

Thanks! It's to advertise my project to get more downloads, loveits and favorites. No remixes yet, but I don't know how to upload a project as a remix, (any ideas?) else I'd upload the faster, less choppier version. As you've noticed, I've fixed Blinky's eyes to look straight at you, as if a small beg to go to the project. The second one will add Inky and the last intermission sig will add Pinky. A 3-in-1 project with all Pac-Man Intermissions will add Clyde to the sig. At the moment, I'm working on a project (currently at the beginning, which is programming a small uninteractive Pac-Man game) following the ghosts' lives outside of Pac-Man. I got the idea from last night's dream of the same story. I don't have a sig idea yet for it...but it will come!

EDIT: To my surprise, TinyPic still has it stored in their servers.
EDIT 2: If they already deleted it, then it's on Scratch's local servers.
