Good idea!
I hope you get some positive info back from the Team!
How long should it take for a response back?

I have never had the need to contact the Scratch Team before, if you are lucky, you might receive it today, but otherwise probably tomorrow. I'm going to be gone tomorrow through Tuesday, so I kind of hope you get it this evening.

Yeah, but there are a lot of other good helpers here if you ever need some help. Otherwise, I'll see on Tuesday afternoon or evening, when I get back, all that has been done. Good luck!.

In the meantime, I'll be making "Discover Windows 98" and "Installers" for my WIndows 98 simulator. Bye coka! Thanks for the help.

I have more info:
The upload messes up after Auto-Save. How do I disable this mode?
Also, I downloaded a project last night that opened with no error. This means either:
A. Kesuli's projects are corrupted; or
B. My copy of Scratch just doesn't like Kesuli at all.
It doesn't do this on other projects, but I think it's the size of the project that caused an error when downloading the file, probably corrupting it. I was surprised Scratch itself installed correctly after multiple download resumptions.
Who Knows?

Here's the e-mail:

Hi WindozeNT,
Sorry you are having trouble! The speed of your connection may have something to do with this problem. We can rule out Java as a cause (that's only necessary to view projects on the website, not share them).
Can you upload a similar size file to any others sites? This would help see if the problem is specific to Scratch, or if it has to do with your modem connection. Another good way to test the problem would be to save your Scratch projects on a usb flash drive and try to share them to Scratch from someplace with a fast network connection - perhaps school or the library?

Also, coolstuff sent me a ZIP file containing Windown XD Prosuckional in it and Scratch read the project perfectly, which means Windows Vista corrupted the file when I tried to load it. All I need is to get Button Seek to get fixed...

Weird, it may not be corrupting the file, but something is just messed up.
It sounds like the Scratch Team may be asking you to upload a something to a different website to see if you have problems doing that. If you do have problems, it more than likely has to do with your internet connection, otherwise, if it does work, it may be an error in Scratch. You may want to e-mail them again if you find out something important...

Well........

I heard that some "helpful" operating systems try to convert binary (I don't mean .TXT files) files (like the .SB format) into text files. Some people have this problem with other programs, too. .ZIP files have checksums to prevent the corruption happening.
I think my system (Vista) falls under a "helpful" system.
It's Scratch though. Because I can send 20 MB files to a server and back without problems. It's most likly the so-called "auto-save" function that causes the upload to go out-of-whack and send corrupt data to the Scratch server.

I kind of doubt that though, because if that was the problem, why are you the only known one at the moment having this problem? I really want to go back to the suggestion of re-downloading Scratch, but again, I know it is a very long task. Well, if I think of something, I'll try to let you know...

Or maybe it's just 40 GB of Murphy's Law installed on my computer.

Re-downloading and re-installing did nothing.
I fail to see why this is happening, HOWEVER I think that I'll send it to the Scratch Team using Coolstuff's method of uploading the ZIP file: through a file hosting server or an FTP client. What do you think?

That'll probably fix the problem
Go ahead and try it; I'm curious to see what the results are!

I'm thinking about adding you to my thanks list when I upload the project.
Since I wasn't able to get around to it, the thanks won't be in the project. It'll be in the Project Notes after the Scratch Team uploads it and I edit the notes.

Here's the red flag of the day; the haunting "give up" sign...straight from MIT:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry WindozeNT, but we can't manually share projects for Scratchers. Did you try going to the library or school, and asking them to install Scratch? Once it is installed, then you could share your projects from there.

My area is not like everyone else's. I would go into detail, but it'd be faster if I just sum it up in 6 words: In my area, EXEs mean viruses. They don't care if the domain ends with .edu because they think anyone can claim an edu domain (probably). If Sesame Street and Barney the Purple Dinosaur isn't splattered all over the site, they don't want to deal with it. The in-program uploader was an epic fail and I can't have someone upload it through my account. How will I share my projects?!
Sorry if I lost my cool.

Well, I guess the Scratch Team was not too much help for you, but I still think there could be another solution...
I'll let you know if I find something as a solution.
EDIT: Also, it is probably against Scratch's Terms of Use to share your Scratch Login password, so no other user is allowed on your account to add projects.
