Ah - it works on the day that you first came on the forums, not the day you joined Scratch. But don't worry - it won't be too much longer

So it's confirmed that it is 2 months now?

I'm not sure, someone who hasn't been signed up to the forums for 2 months just became a Scratcher, and they've been signed up less time than Salvatore-Augusto.
Although they've been on the actual website a lot longer - and posted 3 pages of projects.
So I'm guessing things like that have an affect as well..? o.O

Nobody is 100% sure how many posts you have to get or how long on the forums you have to be. Just keep posting on the forums, like maybe post about your projects in Show and Tell a while, and you'll become a normal "Scratcher". It doesn't matter that much though.

What luxuries we're missing. Although it seems to be for the better.

I think...
Time between posts should be: 180 seconds (3 minutes)
They can't make more than one topic at a time without deleting the original...
So if they want to seriously spam the forums and make loads of threads, they can only have one at a time. Or does that already happen?

A very helpful topic! But I believe this part is wrong:

But first, if you're wondering how to become a Scratcher - You just have to hang around the forums for a certain amount of time before you become a normal Scratcher.
What you say here is closer:

Just keep being active around the site and forums, and pretty soon your rank will change to Scratcher also.
I might add "and friendly" after "active"
Scratch On!

I can't wait to get my Scratcher status back. This is a new account I use mainly for backup, but I go on occasionally

Just because of that? I've dug around for it several times so I could look at the restrictions.
Woo, ITopic'd!

Hi Sandy321,
You can make hyperlinks by typing and around your the URL you want to link to.
Additionally, if you want to put your own text in there, you can type (INSERT TEXT HERE). Hopefully that helps you!...but I don't think a New Scratcher can do so.
I am actually quite sure that rule was changed.
(from http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic … 02&p=3)
I don't know if the rule is really changed, but if it is, you may have to update this.
